Nah they did a couple weeks of charmingly odd social media posts before dropping the lineup last year, so I'm still thinking the lineup will be in a couple of weeks. Curious if anyone has leaks on who's playing though, because the Chemical Bros were known for this months in advance of the festival even getting announced.
Maybe some earlier posts were deleted, but I just checked their Instagram and they started posting on their socials last year starting on May 13th and released the lineup May 16th. Fingers crossed that lineup drop happens this week!
You figure they at least want to drop it before Just Like Heaven so that they can advertise the lineup on the screens in between sets.
Oh wow, maybe I'm just a dummy and didn't check the dates and had a false recollection of those promo posts lasting longer. This week would be awesome!
Don't think Porter will be on this. Doesn't he do Second Sky in Oakland in September/October?
It seems unlikely that Second Sky is happening this year. Last year didn't sell all that great as they had to go down from 2 days to 1 day, and I believe its usually announced by now.
Regardless, I doubt Porter shows up here unless its as Virtual Self.

So who we got for likely artists with dates that match up? Just Chromeo, Little Simz and Röyksopp? Looks like the guy who organizes this hinted at FKJ on Insta too. Coco & Breezy are opening for Chromeo on that leg of the tour so maybe them as well.

Kind of a bummer that it's still at Pier 80. That venue wasn't ideal.
Why do you say that? I loved it personally, though I hope they have art this year. It was nice and compact, the industrial backdrop was cool, easy access via MUNI, and being a bit more remote in the city meant they could go later and not worry about noise as much (or really at all, based on how loud it was). There aren't many places in SF to do a fest like this, and Golden Gate Park would be terrible for it. Only major problem I had was the complete lack of cell service...they need to add some temporary towers or something.
I love the idea of the location. I wish more festivals happened in unconventional areas like Day for Night had. Get tired of the typical open field.
The thing I didn’t like about the area was how underutilized it was. Bare bones production. Give me Yuma production in that warehouse and I’ll be thrilled.
