I’d really like Metallica. Not a fan or anything, just seems like it’d be a cool ass show. Def gonna do Saturday as long as there’s a few solid things on the lineup but hoping the whole thing is great.

I did some more digging. The data is a few years old though. As of 2017, it costed about 500k to book Green Day or Foo Fighters. It was about 150k for Paramore and Muse. Lana Del Rey only costed about 75k. Around 100k for QOTSA. If she’s still cheaper than QOTSA, then they can afford her with Foos and Metallica.

This data is very outdated and artists costs are exponentially higher now. Pretty much every one of those acts is probably well over a million now outside of QOTSA. Multiple million for acts like Green Day and Foo Fighters as well. Lana headlined the north stage at Lollapalooza this year, shes a headliner almost anywhere she plays these days. Queens didnt even headline Riot Fest over Death Cab/The Postal Service. Lanas cost is significantly more than QOTSA if I had to guess.

Lana did sub to Foos at Outside Lands, so she’s likely at least still cheaper than them. They actually played at the same time, and she apparently drew the bigger crowd.

Like Lollapalooza, Outside Lands does 2 headliners a night and she headlined alongside Foo. Foo and Green Day (well and metallica) definitely the most expensive of the list you had though.

She’s not over a million. I saw her in an 8000 capacity venue. Pit was 150. If we be generous and say that the average ticket price was 75, then that’d only get to 600k.

I assume the Franklin venue? outside of this venue, almost all the venues on this most recent tour were 20k capacity and sold out instantly.

Feelin pretty good about this thing dropping in the late AM. When you think about it, they already did kinda announce when the lineup was coming, by sharing the Owl hint which already indicated it was coming this week. The time is upon us, we shall soon feast
