This sucks. I don't recall this many cancellations in the first 5 years of the fest but the last 3-4 years has seen cancellations due to 'visa issues' every damn year. So these bands not have competent management?!
they raised the cost of them after COVID. Used to be $400 each but are now over $1000.
What about shifting one of the criminal records bands over? Wine lips or PPPs? Doesn’t help much in terms of getting another act but does move some energy to a larger stage.
(Only in the event they can’t find a suitable replacement of course)
Looking at Welcome To Rockville folks again for potential fillers. Militarie Gun? At 1 month out, we may be looking at local bands getting a chance or just getting unfilled slots. Especially that early Friday TBD.
Looking at the lineup: would be cool to get L7 but they're probably too big for that time slot. Realistically they could get Bob Vylan and they would match the intensity/fun that Pigsx7 would have brought (albeit completely different musical style)
Saw Bob Vylan open for Amyl and the Sniffers in NYC, and it was a bit tough to watch. Very disjointed and it seemed like they’ve never been on a stage before.

I’ll just throw out Meet Me @ The Altar only because they just ended their tour and the lead singer is from Atlanta and I’m pretty sure lives here to considering she talks about going to the Masquerade and Tabernacle a lot. Surprised they haven’t been booked with the Atlanta connection they have
I just want the two TBA slots announced. At this point I'll settle for both being not very known but banging undercards. Just give me Nightlife & Whores and call it a day.
Still waiting on the 2 TBAs, food lineup, and also no openers for late night shows? Thats weird, no?
With th starting at midnight I’d think they only have time for the one act to play. Anybody that got tickets to AF late night trying to make a group walk to the venue? Hoping we get some deeper cuts at the show. Maybe Modern Man, Awful Sound+It’s Never Over would be a dream.

Damn, so the shows are ending at like 2:30 or 3? That’d make it easier on me to not have to leave the fest early. I’d read that the line to get into the masquerade shows after can be a nightmare so I was worried about getting there asap.

Yup. I think it was between 230 and 3 when I got back to the hotel after the late night shows I went to. It took forever to find an Uber too.

I did leave green day early to get to mt joy, and still missed their first few songs... hopefully won't be this bad this year

did they not have an opener or did the opener just go on right around the time doors opened? I wish AF was any other night than Saturday since Weezer is the only HL I really want to see. Willing to leave a little bit early since I’ve seen them a bunch but I’d like to catch as much of the set as possible.

I think the 2 TBAs are the biggest ones for me now. I'm wondering what the holdup is and who the heck they could possibly be this late in the game. I'm (trying) to keep my expectations tempered.

I’m certainly not expecting much, but who knows. I’ve basically made my daily schedules and am just gonna use those time slots for food/rest, unless they grab someone awesome.

oh yeah, i deleted that email without reading it but now that i go back, you're right. has to be those two, then. i am unfamiliar with both, unfortunately.
