Did the food lineup come out yet? Do they do that every year? Partner and I loved the food last year, especially the street food section by Amazon/Pull & Bear. We hardly had to wait anywhere all festival for the food, which was awesome, and thought the quality was generally better than most American fests.
Brilliant food lineup, now I am really excited and ready as I will be flying Thursday night to start my nth Euro Trip at Amsterdam!Yes especially to these, F pretty much the entire list haha: Abarka Chalito Grosso Napoletano , Pizza Rossa, Una Pizza, Funky Pizza … DAMN! La Cachapera not sure if that’s Chamako or Camako Cookona Poke Si Guapelatas La Burgueseria Creperia Vesotie Quinoa Rasoterra I might as well list almost everything haha considering there’s “many more”
So many splitting of sets and stage / food vendors hopping, close my eyes and wander (while eating those amazing food lol) is it musically. Awesome lineup even those indie/underground rap/hip hop, Boiler Room artists etc.
I will be back to Amsterdam in August for the festival with the second best lineup this year, Dekmantel 2024.
Foodie here and imo the food at the festival is nothing special. I usually just had a big meal in the afternoon and then brought a bocadillo and some chips to eat later. Anyway there's too much good music to see to be spending a lot of time in the food court.

Might be a dumb question, but if I have a ticket for a city show is there a need to still get to a venue early? Like will I have issues showing up right around when The Lemon Twigs start?

if you have a ticket you can show up any time
Sweet thank you. Last time I went was 2022, where the city shows were a bit more of a pain.

The ML Buch, Vampire Weekend, HTRK, AMAARAE, Billy Woods, Blonde Redhead, Amyl and the Sniffers, Nazar overlap may be the worst festival conflict I've ever had, would be enthusiastic about seeing all of them in full. Currently thinking starting at HTRK trying to see what I can of ML Buch, maybe a bit of Vampire Weekend before Beth Gibbons but that sounds like a lot of running around.

similar-ish, dumber question. if I DONT have an acessticket booking for a show I wanna go to, do they have a lineup at the venue for non-ticket holders? specifically that The Dare show on the 29th

they’re not gonna let you in without a ticket unfortunately, if you keep an eye on AccessTicket you might be able to catch one that gets returned, that’s your best shot

Might be worth a watch as some of the transportation options have changed. I'd generally stay away from Hola Barcelona cuz it's mostly for sightseers and anyone spending a lot of time at the festival won't get their bang for their buck. I'm probably getting T-usual which is currently 21.35 euro for a month of unlimited rides, as it is subsidized by 50% by the local government this year. You have to provide your passport info but I don't believe it is exclusive to locals. If it is, I'll probably just buy T-casuals (ten rides) again. T-grup and T-familiar could be interesting options if youre traveling with others. Lots of options. Bit generally, transportation isn't bad as long as you're not buying every individual ride.
They've also transitioned to these non-contact T-mobilitat cards that link to an app on your phone. As of this video that was only available on Android, though.
I still don't think this includes night busses but I think it does everything else.
So just realized that my girlfriend and I are going to be in Barcelona most of the time this is happening and we are considering buying a single day.
Done lots of US festivals (Coachella, Lolla, ACL, Voodoo, Riot Fest, etc.), anything super different about this that I should know about going in (besides the super late acts)? Is VIP worth it? Sounds like it changes year to year and you don't fully know what it includes until you arrive.

There’s been debate on here whether or not it’s worth it, but based on what I’ve seen and read it really does not seem worth it for a single day.

water policy is way different than in the US. No camelbak, and fountains are scarce. Plan in time to get water, whether via the fountain or the bars.
