Ok, welcome to the game all! We are going to start with a group stage with 4 groups of 4, with the top 2 from each group advancing to a knockout round. The groups will be seeded in order of post count. There will be round robin competitions between each member of the group, with the higher seeded player choosing what the game will be. It can be something as simple as rock-paper-scissors or flipping a coin, to something as complicated a game of chess, to something entertaining/interactive for the rest of us like a comedy competition with the one getting the most likes winning. Get creative with it! Creativity is not my strength, so I think this will produce way more fun for you all than if I were to pick the games. Ask in this thread if you're drawing a blank on ideas, I'm sure someone will have one.

You will all have 9 days to arrange these competitions between each other and find a time that works for you. Report the results to me, and I will keep a spreadsheet updated.

Vieux will challenge you to a game of their selection. Vieux will also challenge Jaz & Archstanton to a game of Vieux's selction.
Jaz will challenge you to a game of their selection. Jax will also challenge Archstanton. Jaz will be challenged by Vieux.
Archstanton will challenge you to a game of their selection. Archstanton will be challenged by Jaz & Vieux.
So for you, as a lowest seed (again, just done by post count), all you need to do is play the games they challenge you to. And you've all got 9 to figure this out.

Is there some sort of rule that the challenges can’t be knowledge based? Like I can’t just challenge someone to a bunch of obscure NFL trivia?
I'd say in the spirit of competition to try to make it something you at least both have a fighting chance at. If you want to general trivia, that's totally fine, just don't make it something niche you're an expert on (I'm thinking a game of are you smarter than a fifth grader would be fun). Games with a skill and chance element (ie: poker, catan, best of 7 rock paper scissors, etc...) are ideal, totally ok to pick one you have a skill edge in (I'd be challenging you all to poker if I was in). I'll arbitrate any disputes on games.
Hopefully we can use the group stage as kinda a trial run to spot any issues and make more firm rules on games for the knockouts.
