The Setup
You have been given the opportunity to curate the initial lineup for an electronic festival in competition with fourteen others. The top thirty artists on each lineup will be locked into non-compete clauses preventing them from being on any of these other festival lineups. When the top thirty is complete, you can add up to an additional 75 undrafted free agents (UDFA) to your lineup. Winners will be decided by 2 polls, a qualifying round to establish the top 5, and an overall winner. (Ties move on.) These festivals will take place in the modern era.
Eligible Artists:
Any artist that has played at at least one full concert of six or more songs since January 1, 2016 (or has upcoming dates officially announced) is eligible to be drafted. However, they must meet what is known as the Wikipedia Rule: In the genre section of their Wikipedia page's header, at least one of the following words must be included: electronic(a), dance, edm, trance, house, tech/techno, hardstyle, dub, step, bass, drum & bass, riddim, trap, glitch, ambient, garage, hyperpop, footwork, afrobeat, reggaeton, big room, disco, jungle, downtempo, IDM. Electronic genres are extensive, let me know if I missed something.
If there are strange exceptions that by the spirit of the game seem like they should be eligible, such as acts in subgenres of the previously listed, go ahead and draft them, but they are subject to poll.
1) Once an artist or member of an act is drafted they are unavailable to anyone else however side-projects and solo artists from that act would still be eligible until separately drafted as long as their typical set contains no more than six songs by a previously drafted performer.
2) A maximum of two superjams are allowed (but not required) and will not take up a draft/free agent slot.
3) Disputes handled via poll. Upon confirming receipt of dispute request, a poll will be put up and run for twelve hours. Polls can run seven days a week but no poll will start before 9AM or after 9PM Eastern. Drafting will continue while the poll is running. If a poll is a tie, the thing being disputed stands. No act will be polled if disputed more than twelve hours after selection or later.
4) Once we have fifteen participants, draft order will be randomly generated for the first round and will continue as a snake draft. (I.e., the person with the last pick in the first round would have the first pick in the second round.)
5) In Rounds One through Ten, picks between 9AM and 9PM Eastern will have a maximum of six hours. Any turn that starts between 9PM and 3AM Eastern will expire in twelve hours. Any turn that starts between 3AM and 6AM will expire in nine hours. Any turn that starts between 6AM and 9AM will expire in seven hours.
Beginning in Round Eleven, Drafters have two hours to make picks between 9AM and 9PM Eastern. Any pick that starts after 9PM and before 8:59AM has until 11AM.
If a participant misses their pick, the draft will continue as if a pick was made and the participant can then select from any remaining acts at the time that they register their pick. If a player is still on the clock from a previous turn because their time expired without making a selection, then when their next turn comes around the twelve (or eight or three) hour wait for their turn is waived. A participant can make up a maximum of two picks - if they fall behind by more than two picks the additional picks are forfeit.
6) When you post your selection, identify who the pick is. (Do not assume that everybody else can recognize your pick from pic or gif - formatting issues sometimes make them unreadable.) In addition, tag the next person after you and the person going after them to keep things moving.
7) Trades are allowed. All participants must verify the terms of the trade. (Note: Trades are subject to dispute. In the event that a trade is believed to be unrealistically lopsided, a participant can call for a poll on the validity of said trade.)
8) Thirty rounds of standard drafting.
9) Up to 75 undrafted free agents can be selected in the ninety-six hours after the last draft selection. Following that, participants will then have their UDFA presented individually, allowing time to highlight acts and for other participants to verify that no previously drafted acts were included as another's UDFA.
10) Any rule changes prior to the start of the draft will be decided by me and updated in the OP.
11) Any rule changes after the start of the draft will require nine participant votes in favor prior to adoption.
12) A rule change cannot be instituted to change the process of changing rules or disputes. (E.g., no vote to assign a "ref.")
13) If an artist performs both solo and with a set band, then when one is drafted all iterations are off the table. For example, if Prince is drafted then Prince and the Revolution is off the table. However if Neil Young is drafted then Neil Young & Crazy Horse is off the table but not Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
14) If an act has multiple lineup configurations, the one drafted should be identified when drafted. Other configurations would then be off the table. For example, if you were selecting Van Halen then you verified that you were choosing the iteration with Gary Cherone, the David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar VH's would be off the table. (This is a holdover from the infinity rules I can't figure out how to rephrase, but only lineups that have performed since 2015 are eligible.) also no dead people.
15) In the event that a participant is unable or unwilling to complete the draft, a Supplemental Round (Round Thirty-One) will be established. All of that participant's selected artists would be available for selection in this round. The order would be random and would be established after completion of round 25 or whichever round follows the departure of the drafter, whichever is later. Only one supplemental round will occur regardless of the number of acts available. If fewer than twenty-five supplemental acts become available or if a drafter does not want to select a supplemental act then they may select any other available act. Unselected acts from the supplemental round are available as free agents.
16) If a drafter appears to be acting to the detriment of the draft, participants are able to request that drafter's removal. Removal will require twelve votes in favor. Only participants may vote and the votes are public. That participant's drafted artists would be moved to a supplemental round.
17) If a drafter may not be able to make their pick, they may select a proxy or proxies to select on their behalf. Proxies must be stated in thread.
18) When realistic, do not name unselected draft-eligible acts.
19) In the event that a team takes an act who has been accused of any sort of assault, harassment, violence, etc. and the drafting team did not know this, they may drop that act, however can only replace them in UDFAs. If this happens mid-draft, they may be immediately replaced by another pick.
I'll wait for anyone else that wants to join and I'll kick off the draft tomorrow at 11am. Will post the draft order before then.
This is the first draft I've run so feel free to give me some pointers if somethings out of whack.
1. cincy picks X b2b Y but loses a pick next round and those artists are still available individually
or
2. cincy picks X in one round and Y in the next and announces them as a b2b on the second round, with the risk of the second being taken. Those individual artists are now claimed.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I'm looking at electropop and it seems a bit too wide spread. Halsey is on there, who I would say no to. But Chainsmokers were also on there and they're an obvious yes.
