If I could see Billy, Fred, and VW as my three headliners then I'm back this year
Fred Again is out, Bonaroo booked him as a North America exclusive, now I just hope we don't get Diplo for a 3rd year in a row to fill in as a headliner cause then I'm out.
That's kind of a bummer, Fred is one of the only EDM artists i'd be excited to have headline
in that vein I doubt ACL brings Billy back again so soon too

If he doesn't do an Austin/Houston/Dallas date this summer he's 100% a headliner. I'm gonna put Skrillex in the Fred spot.
Especially with them opening up the amp for late night shows now. Book it.

I'll take Skrillex 100% as a replacement, but with just how big he is it feels a bit out of ACL's reach too. Most if not all major EDM festivals are trying to book Skrillex and are at his mercy if he decides to be part of the lineup or not.

Agree with that but I feel like ACL has pull. If it's not him then I have no idea who could be the EDM Headliner. Zach Bryan also seems extremely likely after the chaos at sagebrush last night lol.

Zach has two shows in San Antonio in July (plus stadium shows in Houston and Dallas), I seriously doubt they book him this year. Maybe next year, because he is a perfect ACL headliner and Austin at this point doesn't have a venue big enough for him.
Dave Matthews Band - Stevie Nicks - Lana Del Rey Skrillex - Megan Thee Stallion - Vampire Weekend - Willie Nelson
Hear me out. Replace Skrillex for Justice. Would be the best ACL lineup in years.
I actually had Justice on here, but I looked where they were billed at ACL 2018 and at Coachella this year and realized they wouldn't be a headliner probably

But consider them in my lineup prediction
they did end up moving to top 6 in 2018 once everything shuffled around post Gambino drop

I attended that ACL and completely forgot that happened
I'd definitely prefer them closing out a night. They'd be a great headliner

yeah they headlined during Metallica on the other stage so idk if they'll be back
that was one of my favorite headliner combo nights ever. Started at Metallica, my wife and friend couldn't hang, so we went to Justice, got there just after they started, stayed for their whole set, then ended the night with Metallica closer. I had doubts on the decision but it was one of the best fest choices made.
I've seen Metallica twice since then - none of Justice. I think they proved they can definitely headline - it was a huge D.A.N.C.E. party. They are at least worthy of the #6 slot.
My wife also wants Dave Matthews Band and No Doubt. She would be a lock if ACL could pull those three out of a hat.
With rumored Kacey Musgraves tour in the fall, maybe she shows up here? FJM and Lord Huron in the undercard would be nice too.
EDIT: Forgot she played 2022, assuming that's probably too recent for her return.
On top of her playing recently, Texas really didn't get much love at all on her last tour. One Dallas show and ACL and that was it. I'm guessing she'll just do regular tour dates through. I could see her at Lolla though, and maybe ACL 25
Is that tour rumor that FJM AND Lord Huron are joining the whole tour, or is it split with them on separate dates? Or is that info even out there? Haven't seen the rumor
edit- I see the rumor in the upcoming shows thread

Man I feel like ACL kind of whiffed on an easy headliner booking with Usher touring through Austin right when ACL happens. Would have been one of the more fun bookings for any major this year

Personally i think one thing ACL is getting right is that many of us aren't expecting 2000s and 2010s pop artists, I mean except for when they had P!nk a few years ago, but I am hoping they're getting names that are a little more relevant today's music scene (why my initial hopes for FredAgain and also maybe for Skrillex).

A source close to Stefani tells Billboard not to expect a major No Doubt tour to follow the one-time reunion set, as she already has plans in place for the second half of the year to promote new solo music she plans to release this summer.
