black pumas are probably in contention to headline this thing tbh
Didnt think about this and it's definitely possible, though I still have a hard time seeing them be top 6 even in the hometown looking at the billing on Bourbon and Beyond. I'd guess big font name on the poster but not a true headliner (like billed 7-9 range)
A source close to Stefani tells Billboard not to expect a major No Doubt tour to follow the one-time reunion set, as she already has plans in place for the second half of the year to promote new solo music she plans to release this summer.
Ok then, Gwen solo set...which actually kinda fits the post-COVID ACL mold better IMO

Gwen is doing a bunch of solo LN fests so thats probably the move.

C3 loves those guys and im sure would love give them a headliner bump and might could get away with it being a "hometown" thing at ACL but they do probably need one more actual hit, maybe next year
I’m more excited for ACL than Roo this year. I don’t know how to feel.
Idk Roo has a great lineup, I mean if i wasn't already going to 3 festivals this year i would consider going to Roo as well. ACL is just the closest festival to me since i live in Texas, last year's lineup wasn't it for me so i didn't attend.

I’m just not blown away by Roo’s lineup. I’m still going. I need to do some more listening/discovering of acts. That might change my tune. ACL just feels like a wildcard for some reason. Like they aren’t going to have the exact same acts. I base this off of nothing but feels and vibes. I’m in Houston so I’ll be at ACL.
yeah that would be out of the way by the time lineup drops towards end of april/early may. as someone who has never been a fan, it's not a fun get, but might save a conflict... hopefully
Pearl Jam new tour dates are giving some potential...AC/DC also could make sense if they tour the US this fall...and Metallica dates can't be ignored.
I guess I'm cautiously optimistic ACL will pull one of those three?? Idk yall...
AC/DC isn't in the US until next year and the Metallica thing is still confusing to me since they said they weren't gonna add anymore shows yet they're still popping up at a ton of fests? feel like Pearl Jam is the most likely of the bunch.

I've been trying to speak PJxACL into existence for like five years now and I've learned to not get my hopes up

Ohana is the week before Acl w1 so it could finally be the year for them.

fwiw, i got to interview one of the talent buyers for my radio show last semester ahead of the fest and the day i talked to her was right after pearl jam had finished their two night run at moody center. she was over the moon and didn't have enough good things to say about them so i'm going to imagine if the opportunity is there, they'll take it.
I think this makes them even more likely. C3 is promoting the show.
Lol Nevermind. VW Oct 17th at Moody.
This makes it interesting, honestly was sure they'd be the indie headline like Phoenix in 2022, really curious to see who will take that spot this year.

Khruangbin. They're gonna be billed much higher than you'd expect.

Honestly, if that's the case ill be a bit bummed out they're not big enough IMO to be a headliner, definitely great undercard but not headliner material
