Me too. Out of all the years I went, I spent 80% of my time at the Black Stage.
As did I. Pretty much every year I'd make my schedule and have lots of plans for the other stages but then just find myself at the black stage
I'll say it was really nice having stages that were a break from the craziness though, vs a fest that's only black stage acts like that recent Goldenvoice fest. I loved the genre themed stages all around
I shouldn’t get my hopes up that PJ Harvey and the National/War on Drugs dates have room for ACL but here I am.
National/TWOD tour really only lines up for weekend 2, but it lines up suspiciously extremely well for weekend 2
I don't see it with the PJ dates, I'd count her pretty much out for Weekend 2 because I don't see them doing back to back Austin to SF or LA. Weekend 1 she could definitely fit it on the 4th but it'd be weird routing

And any other fest, I would think artists have to be available both weekends but ACL have increasingly started to make each weekend it’s own fest with drastically different artists so it makes it more possible.
Also, would Beck swallow his pride at take a high-end sub? He's such an ACL OG and will always be great on a lineup, but idk if he's still closing a main stage tho (and thats coming from a massive fan in me)
No TX dates for the Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan tour, maybe possible?
Outlaw Fest never hits Austin, instead he usually does a 4th of July Picnic show. Depends if that is happening or not, if it's not then I think Willie is a strong possibility. Tour has them off on July 4th but it'd be weird routing to have Willie get back down to Texas between MA and NY dates
I'd be surprised to see the fest book Bob Dylan but maybe
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Wait. Beyonce. Country album. Texas. Jay played 7yrz ago. Nobody else had this thought? Seems too farfetched??
I mentioned this on the last page, I would love it.
Ugh that's embarrassing, sorry. I even did a search for 'beyonce' prior to posting, but nothing showed up -- because you actually spelled it properly! 😅
But yeah, I think it would fit and bring potentially bring ACL back on track to pre-COVID. 17/18/19 was an incredible run of lineups. Although I suppose one could argue her cost could diminish the rest of the fest options.
F1 sounds like they would totally take that opportunity

I made a whole wild (and really fun to make actually) post about her potentially playing last year on the ACL subreddit. Still fully on board with this idea.
