My guess is they bumped Melanie Martinez up because it's not a good look to have SZA as the only female act in the top 8. Skrillex will still headline the bud light stage though

Melanie Martinez is selling out arenas and 2nd on her day at osheaga so i'd say the billing is warranted, even if i'm not a fan.
Damn you're right. Exactly two hours at Lolla. I can't believe that was 11 years ago.
my "wow a lot has changed" moment came when digging through past lineups to goof on the Consequence article and realizing now it's somehow been 8 years since Lolla went to 4 days.

dang, we really still having a “will this person headline debate” even after the lineup comes out with them as a headliner?

Cause of Men I Trust being the opener who are a much bigger draw. So bjork lite aint it.
Swap Dominic Fike and Skrillex and its probably close. I'd definitely say Skrillex closes Perry's at a minimum regardless of the is Melanie Martinez a headliner debate.

With both Fred Again... in 2023 and Skrillex in 2024 being billed 9th, I'd say there's a high chance he'll be a sub. Skrillex/Labrinth > Metro or Skrillex/Labrinth > Killers makes most sense to me.
I'm assuming Skrillex isn't a headliner but demanded the bigger font on the poster. If Melanie was gonna sub, she'd be billed below Skrillex for sure. I can't see Melanie demanding to be billed top 8 if she's gonna sub.

Future was a sub (not even on the main stage!) this year. Will bet a beer to someone attending that Skrillex will headline
Glad we got the killers, skrillex, fisher, Deftones, TDCC, four tet, and Skream&Benga. Shocked that Justice wasn’t booked
As an older millennial, I’m seeing more and more names at the top of this poster that I know nothing about. Laufey, tate mcrae, Conan gray, Lizzie, pierce, faye Webster, sexy red etc etc I have never heard of. Rather than doing a trial and error on the lineup, can anyone help point me to the ones worth listening to?

Well it was the first time they expanded to 4 days anyway.

Probably Major Lazer's production who headlined that day. Can imagine that working better at night.
Radiohead had a 2hr set that day (standard is 75-90min), Future only 60min. Maybe he couldn't or wouldn't perform for more than an hour?
I was there. Radiohead went over curfew. Future had Chance guest with him during his set and I left before it ended to avoid the mass exit back to south stage.
Also if we’re debating the “can Future headline” thing I think it’s worth reiterating that the Metro Boomin set at Coachella that Future was prominently involved in had an overflowing crowd at the Sahara. I honestly think Skrillex closes Perry’s since he doesn’t really use that giant structure thing he used to.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Man if Skrillex was Sunday the headliners would've lined up perfectly for me. Maybe I'll sell my pass for Sunday and go the other three days, or just leave early before the headliners.
Based on the fact that Four Tet is the highest billed DJ after him, I think it makes the most sense for him to close Perry’s with Four Tet playing before him. (Second to last Perry’s DJ Four Tet - who could have ever imagined that a decade ago??)

sad, but yeah seems likely. really wanted to avoid seeing either of them at perrys but hopefully the naperville kids are at metro

I’m still not convinced they are going to have Skrillex close on Perry’s. To me it makes more sense to have Metro and Future sub on Bud Light (same thing he didn’t in 2016 even though he was billed 5th overall) and then have Skrillex come on after them.
I think they might have Ive close out Perry’s, big KPop group and they’ve had KPop on that stage before
