Saw someone on reddit point out that the last time Roo fell on a Friday the 13th, was the Deafheaven/ Slayer/ Meshuggah late night year... Hopefully we can get something like that again!
and the yeezus tour coming to the farm. don’t exactly want him back but that was a legendary night. that day i saw sam smith -> danny brown -> janelle monae -> vampire weekend -> kanye -> skrillex late night. might have been the best day of music i’ve ever seen

smashing pumpkins and queens of the stone age have never played bonnaroo and modest mouse hasn’t played bonnaroo in about 20 years. all of those bands seem due. i could see queens and the pumpkins being headliners but not modest mouse

Little 16 yr old me enjoying their first full day on the farm to this, 0 idea what I was truly getting to experience but it was incredible I went Sam Smith > Danny Brown > Chvrches > little bit of NMH > Phoenix > Kanye > Disclosure > Skrillex

idk about headliners but Queens as a sub would kill
Upcoming Shows: 11/8 - Goose @ The Andrew J. Brady Center 11/13 - Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros w/ The Wolfpack & The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall 2/14 - Alan Walker @ The Fillmore Detroit 4/15 - Ben Folds w/ The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall
I think with Fred Again and PL this year that we won't be getting a good EDM headliner next year. Will probably be Marshmello or The Chainsmokers or something.
How about no EDM headliner but a great EDM lineup?

LOL, none of those bands will headline Bonnaroo. At best I would think second or third line.
But hey, I’ve been wrong before and obviously haven’t had my finger on the pulse of popular music in over 10 years.

Anderson .Paak just announced he's touring his best (imo) album, Malibu, in it's entirety. With the Free Nationals. I would love Bon to get Anderson.... he would be an epic Pre-Headliner.
I love Nine Inch Nails as much or more than the next guy but they would have one of the smallest headlining crowds ever. Could they do it with a strong lead in band sure but I think they’re better for a really strong pre headliner like gambino or LN which like 2009
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
What would be your favorite band/artist to do a sunrise set at Bonnaroo?
Whoever it would be tough to beat the two we already got. Both of those shows were pretty special. I think the current incarnation of sunrise shows should stay somewhere in a general range from jam-jamtronica-trippy EDM. That’s the crowd out for it and generally [tm] a late night crowd anyway. I’d like to see Tipper one more time before he retires or goes on hiatus. But he might already be out by next summer. Quixotic back from the day would rule. Thievery Corp could do it. But I’m not sure what overnight bands all have the appeal to play that slot. Maybe Cheese?
feel like it would be cool to have something that's just extremely high energy going into sunrise. like just have knocked loose or something similar play from 4 to close where there's no lull. just something that's ripper after ripper for like 90 minutes
