What are everyone's predictions for who is gonna be next years Noah Kahan/ Chappell Roan?
any of the below are good possibilities:
Riley Green Chase Rice Paul Cauthen Ian Munsick Nate Smith Ella Langley Kameron Marlowe Josh Ross Hailey Whitters Lauren Watkins John Morgan Laci Kaye Booth
Do you ever look back at old roo schedules knowing a lot more of the bands than you did at the time and just kind of kick yourself?
absolutely. like what i actually saw in 2012 was pretty pathetic.
Unless you were trashed or something, I don't get it. Outside of RHCP and Beach Boys, nothing I saw was bad. I did miss a lot of shit that I didn't know about then. Phish, Radiohead, Spectrum Road, Mac Miller, Black Star, GZA doing Liquid Swords, Skrillex, Rodrigo y Gabriella & C.U.B.A., Roots, The Word, Puscifer, Umphrey's double set, Bad Brains, Flogging Molly, AL Shakes, etc. The comedy that year is a who's who but I didn't go to any of it because of lines - Aziz Ansari, Steven Wright (!), Reggie Watts, Amy Schumer, Ali Wong, etc.

oh for sure i agree, i might not have been clear in my post: 2012 lineup ruled, i was commenting on how few acts i actually saw. 2012 was my first year back at bonnaroo since 2004 and i didn't do a good job planning my schedule and maximizing my time.
the full shows i saw were Flying Lotus, Radiohead, St. Vincent, Danzig, SBTRKT, Skrillex, The Roots, Bon Iver, and Phish. All excellent sets but the rest of the time i was just wandering around catching bits and pieces. I also missed Thursday completely, didn't show up until Friday. I missed both Black Star and GZA, completely unforgivable omissions.
This is highly unlikely. But Shakira just announced a tour. No Tennessee dates and has an opening for Saturday. Probably wouldn’t fly from Texas to Bonnaroo and then back to Texas. Would be wild tho.

At this point, I feel like the list of artists that I know that aren't playing Roo is way bigger than those that I know that are.
Booking for these sort of things have to be insanely difficult these days when even subheadliners are starting to place far less importance on festivals. We're supposed to have Brad on the podcast in the coming month or so, I'm curious to understand a little bit more about how he navigates this sort of thing.

you know any of the headliners? just curious if they've got all of them booked yet
