This Gambino slander is so baffling to me. He put on an incredible show in 2019 that is still one of my favorite HL sets.
New album wasn’t all that commercially successful, but personally I’m excited to hear those songs live. The shows he had prior to cancellation had rave reviews, and the set lists were fantastic (and included songs he didn’t play last time). Remains to be seen how that production would translate to a festival, but I feel like there was a plan for that.
You could argue he’s back too soon and that he’s not bigger than he was in 2019, but the HL landscape has since changed quite drastically.
It's just a crusty booking. He's not buzzing in the last 4 years, and his catalogue isn't close to being good enough for that not to matter.
I think he has enough hits, but that’s just my opinion. The reality is, if we are abiding by the “formula” who else would be realistically better? If Tyler wants to play I imagine he is booked. I’d much rather have Gambino than Eminem.
Personal taste aside, I can understand why some don’t see this is a slam dunk booking. But to say this is worse than J Cole or Post is crazy to me.
I need to replace the AC compressor in my car, but I gotta take it somewhere first because if I leak the refrigerant, that is an EPA violation. so, no leaks from me.

Gambino is at least on the level of Tyler in terms of HL'ers and I would be excited for either, and definitely more excited for either of them over the likes of J.Cole and Posty. Tyler probably gets the nod over Gambino just because he hasn't headlined before but I'm hoping for at least one of them this year.

J Cole was also very crusty. Post at the very least is somewhat hot somehow still.
I think they should have booked Tyler or Kendrick. Don't care that Kendrick was just there. Those rules are stupid if it stops you from booking someone that had the year he just had.
