Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I want to hate this, but I almost exclusively listened to The Offspring, Sum 41, and the entire NOFX stage in high school. I loved the 2023 lineup because it was DARING and looking to the future. This year is definitely leaning heavily into their roots, and maybe that's what they need to survive this transitional period.
Wait, so this location is an hour away from chicago? So, if they’ll have afters, people would have to leave an hour earlier just to hopefully find a train to make it back in time? Or would the afters be closer to the new venue?
has there been any word on afters? wonder if they'll just have the festival go until midnight instead?
Theyll have afters
will they? I’m pretty sure in previous years they’ve said something along the lines of “stay tuned for late night announcements” but I didn’t see that this year
EDIT: yeah the lineup email last year said “ Stay tuned for more announcements, Late Night Aftershows, Album Plays, and more all summer long.” and this year it says “RiotLand, our new home in Bridgeview, Illinois, will be an immersive "Choose Your Own Adventure" world that promises to elevate the festival experience for all attendees. More will be revealed in the coming weeks.”

There are no venues capable of it close to that stadium.

It is not an hour away from Chicago lol. An hour away from Evanston maybe.
Obviously it depends on where you live, but it’s like 15 miles away from Grant Park

Correct. With traffic it could be up to 75 minutes away.

So you’re telling me google maps telling me it’s 25 minutes from the old venue is a lie?
Yeah from there it’d be about half an hour. I used to work near that part of Bridgeview though and it would be an hour+ commute to where I lived at the time (and I was closer to the Kennedy then!). Weekend traffic varies; if you leave early enough it’d be fine, but it’s still a hike to get to.
Apparently theres something that they didnt even tell the park district they were going to make this move too? Who runs this shit. I dont care if its 10 people. Just make sure its 10 smart people.
