Yeah going to hold off for now but not because of Slayer but mostly because Louder Than Life doesn’t bode super well for me right now. Would love Judas Priest to cross over though.
Guess that Kerry King project didn’t turn out as profitable.
It hasn't really even started yet lol, the solo album isnt out until May and so are his first tour dates. I figured he'd at least wait until trying that a bit

Louder Than Life lineup is a step down in quality from last year, but still some nice stuff for Riot to share. Better Lovers in particular better be there.

Theres a rumor that some allegations against Greg might surface soon and that could cancel him. We'll see.
And Slayer has 1 other show booked. Wonder what that one is.

lol, petition to ban entertainment industry from using "farewell tour" or "final performance" marketing ever again. I haven't forgotten that even NIN stooped to this...

It should be required for all farewell tours to be promptly followed by a public execution of the band to make sure that they mean it

Now we’re cooking:
Fall Out Boy - The Killers (performing Hot Fuss) - Slayer Weezer (performing the Blue Album) - Rise Against - Judas Priest The Offspring (performing Smash) - NOFX - Ween (performing Chocolate and Cheese) Sum 41 -Interpol (performing Turn on the Bright Lights and Antics) - Lamb of God (performing Ashes of the Wake)
Since they celebrated their 15th in 2019, I’m lowkey expecting a “20 years, 20 albums” thing this year

Trent never said it was over over. He just needed time off. Like 4 years to go win some Oscars. Its not his fault you didnt get tickets to the "last" show lol
No one should take any artist seriously when they announce a farewell show or tour. I made the trip to MSG for the " last" show and I knew within 5 or years they would be back. Great show though.

Yeah, obviously, but why should the onus be on the fans at all? Some people (not us smart people of course) get suckered by these retirement threats.

LTL crossover I would like (regardless if they've played recently) Pup Soul Glo Holy Fawn Gel Mastodon The Armed HEALTH Gojira Drug Church
These would all be great if they actually booked this many heavy bands, contrary to the name "Riot Fest"
Its funny that the RF vets dont think heavy bands should even play. They are fine with Andrew Wk and TBS playing every year cause their a bunch of softies.
Riot Fest has consistently booked metal bands ever since they moved outdoors. This is going to be Slayer's third time playing the festival. Without double checking who played last year, I think all of the bands in flashii's list are in play.
