Vote for your LEAST FAVORITE fast casual restaurant.
A fast casual restaurant, found primarily in the United States and Canada, does not offer full table service, but advertises higher quality food than fast food restaurants, with fewer frozen or processed ingredients. It is an intermediate concept between fast food and casual dining.

i'm on five guys. i think shake shack is overrated but it's a better burger than five guys. and honestly i think the culvers burger is better than shake shack, and i know culver's ice cream options are better than shake shacks. but i'll switch to whatever to save jesus.

They put some shitty white cream crap on my hamburger. No way their fries would compete with 5 Guys. Maybe the shakes are better, but I'm not going there.

shake shack fries aren't great but five guys fries are a flaccid soggy mess. and to add insult to injury they give you a 5 gallon paper bag filled to the brim with them.

Never seen anyone complain about being given too many fries.
Going with Jesus Christ. Five loaves of bread and two fish is not a great meal deal.
what if i told you we could multiply those loaves and fishes enough to not only feed you and your family, but you'd also have twelve wicker baskets filled with leftovers?

They are only soggy if you let them steam in the bag. All you have to do is open the bag if you're not eating at 5 Guys and let it breathe. Only the ones at the very bottom will ever get soggy. It's kind of the same thing for any fried food that you get to go. If they don't vent it, it's going to get soggy.

If you leave the bag open, they’re fully cold by the time you get home. They also don’t salt them enough.
Shake Shack is the superior remaining burger spot. Best texture you’ll find in any chain burger, good seasoning, fresh toppings. Fries are crispy and crinkle cut holds cheese sauce well. Why don’t we all band together and just vote out Torchy’s, though? Invariably mid flavor and you’re paying like $4.95 for one taco

Must be a locational thing. The one by me is only 4 blocks from my house. So they're still hot (I usually eat a few while driving) since they usually dip the basket in before serving for the double-frying technique which crisps the potatoes. Every employee at that one is African American, and they don't skimp on the salt and pepper on either the burgers or fries. But I have heard from my daughter that the one in Metairie is not very good which is why she'll come to New Orleans to get 5 Guys if she wants that.

Fresh Toppings
5 Guys - Lettuce, Tomato, Fresh Jalapenos, Onions (fresh or grilled), Mushrooms (grilled), Bell Peppers, Pickles
* I love cherry peppers, but no way they are fresh (would be packed in brine or oil) so can't be as good as fresh jalpenos. The avocado option is great though.
French Fries
Shake Shack - Frozen Crinkle Cut 5 Guys - Fresh Potatoes and they tell you the farm for that day's batches

it's like $8 for a single shack burger just a burger

Not really comparable IMHO
i kinda don’t need all that noise on my burger though. Fresh tomatoes with some bite, crunchy lettuce, call it a day

Personal preference, but you said fresh toppings. I like flavor, so if I was going to get 5 Guys, it would be lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions, fresh jalpenos and grilled mushrooms.

disagree, i've eaten many a meal at 5 guys and they are limp and damp as soon as they hand them to you.
i understand the appeal of them cutting potatoes fresh, but it's a misguided appeal. the truth is real french fries come precut and frozen in a big paper bag, ideally with krinkle cuts on them.

yes, what is 5 guys allergy to salt? can we be done with this thing where some restaurants try to say their ingredients are so good or special that they don't need as much salt. no you always need salt.
