As much as I want to believe YEazyBrazy, Green Day and Post Malone as subs seems really doubtful. Those paired with Taylor sounds incredibly expensive too. The only way I see it being true is if Green Day is second to last on the main as RTTD and Post will be billed as a country set like braundiggity has it.
Yeah, sub must mean RTTD/AND in this case. I guess I could see post Malone negotiations being contingent on whether they nab whichever bigger headliner to decide if he plays a country set or normal set.

Each Eras show averages a $17 million gross, meaning obviously two shows is $34m and I'm sure she demands such insane cuts of that that the economics are even worse than a typical "stadium show vs. Coachella" analysis. They'd have to offer her like $20-25m and even then you'd be relying on her taking a bit of a discount.
Even if you assume an automatic sell-out (which it would with her), she would already "break the budget" by $10m if she's being generous. They can solve that with no RTTD and a price increase, but I don't see any scenario really you can book her and bigger headliners than last year. Even if this speculation is fun.

When Post got those country set billings it was for a set of covers. He’s got a pretty successful country album now.

Green Day, Post and Fred all seem like subs next to Taylor Swift.
If anything, it wouldn’t surprise me if Taylor is the bottom line booking because she’s just too big by comparison. Because at that point, how do you even argue that any other artist is comparable to the world’s top grossing concert artist? They’d literally have to book Beyonce and Rihanna just to even out the nights.

Didn’t TME say the number for Taylor last year was something ridiculous like $40M?

They’d have to do something like give her a Thursday night set (similar to what Rolling Loud did for Kanye), and charge an additional cost for existing ticket holders because it’s too late to price increase for payment plan buyers.

Book Swift on Thursday and the festival grounds will be empty Fri-Sun.

I mean, it's a bit crazy, but Fred Again.. is also (probably relatively) cheap. RATM/Taylor Swift/Fred Again.. with Green Day and Post as backups isn't all that crazy. Getting all four + Fred would be legendary, but something would certainly take a hit (the undercard is my first guess).

The same could be said for putting her on any night. Imagine how dead a Sunday night Fred headlining set would be after everyone left after seeing Taylor the night before

If I pay $600+ for a festival ticket without knowing the lineup and they try to charge me extra once that lineup is released, I don’t think I would ever go to that festival again.

$30 which was $15 per. But seemed it was more of a just fuck off number than a real figure.
Thats hits article talking about big acts taking stadiums vs festivals had some breakdowns. And on a $17 mil gross, after everything is paid for I mean Taylor is getting like $5 herself. Its not like the merch wouldnt generate an obscene amount of money esp with some special overpriced items and maybe something at record safari. Livestream revenue would be crazy too.
There are other negotiations beyond flat booking fees. Wouldn’t be surprised if she took streaming rights from her set and some portion of that revenue- for example. Could even negotiate for portion of ticket sales after lineup release
