I don't get it. I've seen tiktoks of sets and it's just a mass of phones and white men playing droning afrohouse that flows into nothingness.. Can someone explain their appeal to me?
have seen them twice - the longer form sets are fun; agreed the tiktoks are brutal (only a couple of songs like Move draw that reaction, but still) and the crowds look like they have gotten worse, but the sets are great vibes imo
I am a Keinemusik fan and I am sad that they’ve moved away from the more experimental deep house to just playing Afro house. Send Return and You Are Safe are both great albums.
&Me and Rampa are excellent producers and DJs. I’ve always found Adam Port to be the weak link of the 3.
I still had a blast at their 4th of July show at Mirage
La was $340 for pit. Charging $100 for lawn is bold though
More than/on par with Oasis is nuts. Saw Rufus here in the pit at Santa Barbara Bowl for like $80 just 2 years ago, capacity 4500. No way they have quadrupled in value in any way.
Theyre likely offsetting any dynamic pricing by doing this. I think at most that front pit shouldve been $200 and the second section $125. But then add in dynamic/platinum and you hit these prices. People paid them too. Although I suspect they didnt allot that many tickets to these presales since they look like they sold well. Just trying to worry people that the next presales and general wont have much left when they will. No way these dudes are selling 60k here.

Like a year ago everyone told me I was dumb for saying they should/could headline

Just because youre overcharging doesnt mean you can headline. Empire Of The Sun should be headlining then for playing a half sold out Hollywood Bowl then.
As much as I'm a fan of RUFUS, I don't think they're headliners. Like someone pointed out several pages back, Fred is more "now". (Not that I love him as a headliner either.)
I did buy $62 GA tickets for the Rose Bowl show. Hopefully those aren't going for $10 resale later.

Where does one start with Taylor? I know the radio hits but that’s all I’ve ever heard. Not a country fan here so I doubt I’d dig the older stuff but what’s the best of the pop records? Anything that skews a little less teeny bopper?

Fred was more now last year. I think he’s losing steam.
is it bad that my first reason for thinking it's a fake is because NIN is on it?
does look incredible though
Didn’t someone here say they’re taking offers for festivals next year?
Yeah, rocketracoon said they will for sure do festivals and were looking at offers, that was back in mid-April.
As they are my favorite band I sure would like to see them next year, was hoping for them to do Coachella but since Green Day is already in I’m not sure there’s room for another big 90s alternative act.
