A Lady Gaga (CAA) outing is also a reasonable expectation as an accompaniment to her next studio album, due in Q1, and insiders are speculating whether she might also turn up at Empire Polo Grounds for the first time since 2017.

Yeah just looked back, seems like they were still advertising sales beginning of May last year, two weeks before the event. So it either didn't sell out entirely or sold out just before the event.
I haven’t listened yet, but so far I’ve seen mostly positive discourse and reviews.
I guess a lot of people are turned off that Halsey wrote an entire album about dying.

I listened to it last night. Why do you think this shocks me? And youve never had your fucking dog die in front of you so maybe its difficult to relate. But hey, if you know somebody in your family thats had difficult health issues or died, maybe you just dont want that to be brought back up to the surface.

Oh thank goodness it wasn’t just me. I saw it trending last night and people were saying it’s her best single since Bad Romance and all kinds of hyperbole. I was just like “did we all hear the same song?”

As depressing as the album is, I find Halsey’s approach to songwriting refreshing for a big pop star. An industrial rock pop album about going through pregnancy followed by an album drawing inspirations from 4 decades of artists about almost dying and dealing with multiple chronic illnesses is far more interesting than whatever Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift put out this year.

I think getting Gaga would essentially eliminate Taylor
Why would it? I don't think so at all. Maybe budget? But the RoI on a Taylor slot cancels out any budgetary issues especially if they shift tickets on to secondary marketplaces.

Gaga performing a rare festival set off a brand new release would be completely drowned out by Taylor. One has to be the focal point of the festival and it won’t be Fred. Also, that’ll be an insanely pricey top line.

Gaga would not perform the year Taylor would (if it ever happens). No artist wants their massive Coachella headlining set to be drowned out with the Taylor noise, let alone someone as successful as Gaga. They would need two sub promotes the year she headlines, and probably with some sort of Taylor tie.
