Yeah, believe the four names they've referenced multiple times are Fred, Gaga, Green Day (if you believe the 'big rock' hint was them), and Post Malone. Plus obvious GV hints all over socials about Charli
It certainly seems like they're circling around those five names, and if there's any hopium to spare its probably around RATM (they're becoming active on socials, recent vinyl release, Zach with PT at Dodgers NLCS game). Everything else (Chappell, Taylor, etc.) is pure speculation
Curious if Taylor Swift mentions Indianapolis Nov 3rd being the last US show of the Eras period. Toronto-Vancouver in Nov-Dec is the scheduled end of the tour.
Just saw Dixon vs Ame, Seth Troxler vs Jamie Jones, and Joseph Capriati vs Bedouin last night and I need Seth in the Yuma and Dixon doing Transmoderna in the Gobi so bad
HDD has never mentioned Taylor in any context other than being the biggest touring star around. Anything else derived via HDD on that front is hopium.
The one redditor guy has referenced her but is also claiming that two massive acts are also booked as subs. If he's right - fair play to him. Just seems v hard to believe.
Theres some left field stuff thatll be on it but nobody wants to believe it anyway

where is RATM active on socials besides instagram? there YT and twitter updates have been mostly quiet.

The main thing was Tom Morello on an podcast essentially disowning Brad’s post that RATM was done.
At this point it def feels like PT is trying hard for Rage and has Green Day filling the “blink-182” role: a surprise late add if Rage is in and is 1st in line to take their HL slot if that falls thru.
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

You’re probably right, but I think they’re the best possible candidate for a RTTD spot in the future (either off a new album or a more discog spanning set). Same nod but they avoid the “who the f*ck is Justice” complaints for actual headliner slots
People said this exact same thing (at least on Reddit) about them getting RTTD this year and it didn't happen.
I mean tbf I think this year was their biggest year yet

How accurate is this board at predicting the headliners in the past years? Obviously those are the top speculative names, but outside Fred via HDD are the rest going to be there in combo or is a curve ball coming like Harry Styles?

The board is so-so on scoops / predictions but I don't think HDD has been patently false on scoops in a long-time before
In 2019, they called Gambino / JT / Kanye by the day. As we know JT and Kanye pulled out and were replaced, but that was correct at the time. Last year nailed the headliners. They've been right all the way back to calling AC/DC, Drake, and Jack White in 2015 (original link is gone but this remains - blabbermouth.net/news/acdc-rumored-for-next-years-coachella-valley-music-and-arts-festival ). Maybe others know when they've been wrong but I think they have at least "very good" reliability.

I'm with you along with the idea that Fred/Gaga/Post/GreenDay are the likely names they're pushing.
But assuming Post isn't doing a country thing, those are 4 pretty big names. I just don't see any subs there at all. I think maybe people are squinting and thinking that Green Day is at the same level of No Doubt, but I'm just not seeing it.

Varies on the year. I mean I can go back to 2004 personally and recall a friend of mine that worked in radio that had told me in December of 2003 that they had Radiohead and the Pixies reunion locked in. And Billboard used to get the scoops too. Consequence got Lcd in 2016 and had to deal with a Pr ban because of it. Billboard had Outkast in 2014 and Arcade Fire was essentially an open secret that lineup season too. 2008 was one of the more wtf moments though. Portishead was all but a given. And I think like 36 hrs before the lineup drop the Roger Waters thing came about and it was absolute disbelief. It was one of those new lurker posts and everyone said bullshit til it wasnt. And then the ultimate thumb in the eye was Jack Johnson. Cause the presser was on a radio stream you heard names and nobody thought JJ was a headliner til the poster dropped. 2013 had lots of ups and downs. The big delay cause of The Stones let to a lot of freaking out. Almost having Velvet Underground at one point. Original Black Sabbath dropping right before 2012 due to Iommi having cancer so then it was The Black Keys getting bumped. Theres a good chance theres names on this that havent been mentioned or are felt to not have a chance of being there.
I think we are missing 1 or 2 super unique exclusive HL/Sub level acts in addition to the 4 of Fred/Gaga/Post/Green Day. I may be coping here but I really do think this is the year we get like a Sade or Rage level reunion. Maybe they even get Swift this year and merely have Gaga as a backup. but I do think theres something else that's big we wont know about til the lineup drops or shortly before. Hell we didnt know about No Doubt til a few days before it dropped and we didn't know about Blur until it dropped. Not to mention 2023 with Bjork and Gorillaz booked as subs
New electronicfestival in Austin…blurred names at Coachella? I don’t recognize like 95% of these artists. The names that are blurred must be like Yuma openers lol idk
