Because I had so much fomo this past weekend. I even made fake set times for my mock. I am not good at photoshop so idk if I can make a poster / set time poster like others here.
I am still making a few edits to my final first mock, but here are the stage closers I have:
Friday: -Main: Dua Lipa -Outdoor: Pet Shop Boys -Sonora: TR/ST -Gobi: WhoMadeWho (live) -Mojave: Boys Noize -Sahara: Aespa -Yuma: SG Lewis -Quasar: Solomun (4 hour set)
Saturday: -Main: Rihanna -Outdoor: Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross -Sonora: Yeule -Gobi: Arca -Mojave: Dixon presents Transmoderna -Sahara: REZZMAU5 -Yuma: I Hate Models -Quasar: The Martinez Brothers (3 hour set)
Sunday: -Main: SZA -Outdoor: Above & Beyond -Sonora: Artemas -Gobi: Roisin Murphy -Mojave: Four Tet -Sahara: Eli Brown -Yuma: Klangkuenstler -Quasar: Keinemusik (7 hour set)
I think this is very solid but there is no way Arca plays the Gobi, right? Other than that, seems pretty possible.
I am not sure Arca is THAT popular. Just has a strong cult following. If she is also going against Dixon, I Hate Models, Rezzmau5, and TR&AR…
I don't see a reason why they should go after Fred as a headliner unless it's a replacement or last minute thing. CAN he headline in 2025? Sure, but like, why? There's so many other acts who should get priority. Fred should be around for awhile so there shouldn't be a rush on him imo

Coachella should book Fred again.. after he takes a few years off as a “comeback” performance, not when he’s being on every other festival lineup (including Coachella twice) in the last 2 years
The monthly listener police might drop dead when they see these OSL headliners. It's crazy that their tier 1 is only $35 less than coachella.
A city festival that happens on some of the most expensive real estate in the country might have something to do with it. Along with 50 fewer acts and 3 less hours of music
Re: Fred. He needs to tighten up the live show and stop the talking. If he does his rambling shit and then goes into a really quiet song youre gonna lose the crowd. He needs to pace the show a bit better. Do that along with a new production and its possible in due time. Dude needs to go away for a minute just to make it feel like he wasnt everywhere last year. You can hide Fred as a headliner with the "And" billing and schedule him at 9pm so you get a massive crowd again at Main.
So what's the $ on the standing offer for the BTS comeback?
O/U $5M?
$5 m is probably fine. Its everything else. Aeg will have to sign them for a tour and such unless LN outbids em. Unless they decide to "share". Coach gets the first 2 u.s shows and LN gets the tour.

definitely over, probably $15m-$20m for both weekends if No Doubt was $10m for both weekends.
If theyre gonna pay BTS that kinda bag then they wouldnt have backed off on Taylor Swift allegedly wanting $30 mil. Once you get past a certain number its kinda who cares territory. The festival will spend money on production shit for them and give em a good merch cut so they got some back end money outside of the fee.

very true, I feel like it would absolutely be over $10m though. if I were to bet it'd be $15mil, would be worth it for the sellout and huge amount of publicity

didnt Frank get $8M last year? Obviously only took $4M though

Headliners have been getting a max of $8 mil to play twice for a while now. Bad Bunny got an extra mil last year and now No Doubt got $10m for a last minute thing. Dont forget that GV spent money on the ice rink for Frank so theyre willing to cough it up on that end. But that doesnt mean everyone gets that number, its just the most theyre willing to pay somebody. We really think Lana got the max? Prob not. I think the pitch and the vision from the festival is what you need first to get some of these artists at the table and you figure the rest out.
Say it out loud, see how it feels, try it on a bit
that would be awesome. She had one of the most captivating shows ive ever seen when I saw her earlier this yr. However, a coachella crowd for her would be rough.

Mitski would have a large crowd at Coachella no doubt but sub still seems like a stretch. I think 3rd or 4th on her day would make the most sense, but they just had Blur and Bjork sub and Mitski would no doubt draw way more than either of those crowds.

When there was the hysteria of a potential Talking Heads reunion I thought she'd be the perfect sub for them. I think she would be a great billed sub/3rd to last on main that is on a day where whoever is on the bottom of the poster plays.

shes also bigger than like Flume at this point for sure

She'd at worst be 3rd imo. However, it doesn't feel like she'd be interested in playing Coachella at this juncture of her career. She appears to detest her rise in popularity with the clips of her asking people to stop calling her mother and being uncomfortable with fans other weird behavior. Feels like Coachella is the last place she'd want to play right now.
Alright I finished my mock lineup - all artists on playlist below
(If they keep up the second lines with too many names lol) Friday: Dua Lipa Jack Harlow | Pet Shop Boys | Lil Nas X | Aphex Twin | Beabadoobee | Kehlani | The Marias | Xavi | Nero | Aespa
Sunday: SZA Rüfüs du Sol | Glass Animals | Above & Beyond | Summer Walker | Clairo | Polo G | Bad Gyal | Four Tet | Still Woozy
RTTD: The XX (Friday Main between Dua & Jack)
Yuma: Amelie Lens, Ardalan, Beltran, Desiree, DJ Heartstring, DJ Gigola, Eats Everything, Eliza Rose, Gioli & Assia, I Hate Models, I. Jordan, Ida Engberg, Jackmaster, Jimi Jules, Klangkuenstler, Layla Benitez, Layton Giordani, Logic1000, Mind Against, Nala, Pan-Pot, Partiboi69, Seth Troxler, Shiba San, SG Lewis, Sparrow & Barbossa, Trikk, X Club
Sonora: Artemas, Divino Nino, Gus Dapperton, Hotline TNT, Hovvdy, Indigo de Souza, Joesef, La Texana, Lizzy McAlpine, Marie Davidson, Modern Color, Porches, Provoker, Royce Fisherman, Royel Otis, Sextile, Smerz, Stuck, Tirzah, Too Many Zooz, Triathalon, TR/ST, VTSS, Yeule
In what world do you put Lizzy Mcalpine in Sonora when she has 2 sold out shows at the Greek in a few weeks. Probably Mojave for her. Switch The Marias and Pet Shop Boys and that might be it. Drop Jack and just put Lil Nas on there. Who cares about spotify streams.
Is Beabadoobee really 2nd line big now? I'm a fan, but I hadn't noticed a big boom in popularity. I would've guessed 3rd line. But super happy for them if so

Put Paramore subbing Talking Heads
Had no idea she did that! Mojave it is lol. You think The Marias would get higher billing than Pet Shop Boys?

Check their billing 10 years ago. Its likely not changing at all. Plus this isnt england and if anything they would be high at Cruel World or even headline. The Marias are from LA and could get a big bump with this new album and the tour they just announced which has been selling well enough to add extra dates to a bunch of cities.
