With Chem Bros/Prydz HOLO in 2023 and Justice/Gesa in 2024, any ideas what they are going to aim for for that big outdoor electronic slot. Those have gone over so well.
Dogblood. The Prodigy. A&B. Pretty Lights. Boards of Canada
Above & Beyond / Pretty Lights
Rezzmau5 in the Sahara to fill that big DJ duo Coachella has been booking the past 2 years

Keinemusik is super boring but I bet they'll have them + another boring DJ do some long set for Quasar, especially if they have different acts each week like this year
Keinemusik has also blown up significantly since Coachella. I am going to Sonar in Barcelona and their party sold out so fast and people are re-selling tickets for $300 (you can literally get a full week sonar + OffSonar parties ticket for $450 lol) Same thing for their NY shows - people re-selling for $200+
I loved their Yuma set, but they are much better for long 4+ hour sets
Re: Quasar, given the apparently higher attendance for W2 sets (obviously wasn't there W1, just heard Bibi and Honey Dijon/Green Velvet drew smaller crowds, and every Quasar headliner was fucking packed W2) I wouldn't be surprised to see them go more in a kx5/Above & Beyond type direction compared to some of the DJs I see being mentioned here, although I feel like Keinemusik is so tailor made for that stage and vibe that that is the one act I'd bet on the most.
Imo those Weekend 2 acts were booked as a way to push ticket sales lol
Bibi, Honey x Green Velvet, Jamie x Daphni x FP are all great bookings, but not pushing people to buy tickets compared to Rufus, Diplo, Prydz, Anyma, and hot newcomer Mau P. Some people were posting annoyed that Anyma was only W2 not realizing he was on regular lineup(shows you how many people don’t even look at lineup outside of headliners lol)

deadmau5 would draw a small crowd, the new EDM generation gives very little fucks about him
this is cap but the point is to get the boomers/millennials anyway. we're talking Justice/Chem Bros slot. Didn't kx5 sellout the LA coliseum like a year ago?
Yeah I don't think that catering to the zoomers is really the winning business model after this year's lineup faceplanted and people only want to talk about No Doubt.

Was at both weekends and yes...weekend 1 was much smaller crowd at Quasar. Not sure why, was it name recognition or just not sure about the stage set up??? None the less...i had the best time at Honey Dijon...always do!!!!

re:deadmau5, he's playing a 20-year retrospective set at the Hollywood Bowl in three days. GA Pool, tiny GA area, still in stock, with lots of seats in the back available as well

In terms of Coachella tour sales cringe nothing will ever make me sadder than that Jean-Michel Jarre tour in 2018
Gesaffelstein doesn’t sell very well either right…?
I feel like a lot of these sort of acts don't sell that well in the U.S. I sort of only hear about those names and associate them with fests. A lot of midtier hip-hop artists have this same issue too.

I might have this wrong but JMJ was touring high cap outside amphitheaters and the seating maps were some of the saddest I’ve seen. Like 5% level shit. Don’t have the heart to dig back in the 2018 thread because stuff like that depresses me. It was so bad.
is a Pendulum live show big enough to close Outdoor is that more of a Mojave vibe y'all think
They would easily be #1 priority set of the weekend for me but I have no real sense of how big they are. they've headlined Ultra in the past but also d&b is historically wildly under appreciated.

I got a free ticket to that tour, and I’ve never been to an emptier arena show in my life
