This is nitpicky but I feel like Rufus and Paramore would be switched.
I’d be pretty excited about this lineup though. Robyn has been near the top of my list wish list for a bit.
- Is Polo & Pan really that popular to be sub? Seems like a huge upgrade for them - I love Rina, but she played in the afternoon at Head in the Clouds to a paltry audience - I keep seeing Trent & Atticus in these mocks. Is there a rumor or industry news that would suggest they would be touring? I know NIN is prepping for a new record, and I would be ecstatic if they get a RTTD/AND designation. Also, if Trent & Atticus play, hope they just play Pixar's SOUL OST as a one hour troll. - I think Soulwax gets billed a bit higher (might be my own personal bias) - Haven't seen FlyLo and SebastiAn in years. Would love these. - Sofia Kourtesis felt like a miss this year. Hope she shows up next. - Avril is probably second line
Paul T gets another chance to see if Talking Heads will do anything with a Q and A in La in June.
Oh yeah, not that it is any indication but Dua's album is released the same day as the advance sale. Never been any correlation with that sorta thing, but who knows.
Thanks for feeding the addiction. Personally, I would fucking love this lineup and it looks within the realm of realism to me. LISA is BLACKPINK Lisa? Is she big enough solo to sub?

Thanks all! Yes gambling a bit with the Lisa (from BLACKPINK pick). But I recently saw she signed with RCA to release new solo music and I know BLACKPINK are Coachella favs so could see her returning (though debatable if she'd sub, but to my limited K Pop knowledge, she's the most popular of the group right?).

Just based off last year's Portola, which of course will be out of date by the time this fake lineup was released, Polo & Pan were a #2 their day like Labrinth that year and Kaytranada and James Blake the year before. Granted I was surprised by how high they were billed and didn't see the crowd because I just don't like them for whatever reason, but the other three are/would be second liners easy.
Rina was billed a #4 (like Nelly Furtado that year and Jungle/Lane 8 the year before) and had a pretty good crowd at the main stage.
Those actually look pretty good to me based on today, but might change later.
Carl Cox, Soulwax, Avril, Remi looked too low to me. PINKPANTHERESS did too but I always see her as a third liner on people's mocks so I suspect I have artificially inflated her billing in my mind. Lizzy McAlpine I know nothing about re: comparative popularity to Renee and Sabrina but if she's on that level she's probably a little too low as well.

She's definitely the most popular. Honestly I kind of liked it because it gave me that same sort of "What?!?" surprise feeling I get with the real poster every year. Like I remember thinking Ice Cube and Sia were way too high as subs in 2016, and then Cube reunited NWA onstage and Sia brought probably my favorite Coachella performance of all time and so by April it looked completely right.
My only note is Rema will probably be booked in the same slot as Burna Boy (3rd on his day). I think you could make a strong argument he is more popular than Burna atm.

At Dreamville this year, Rema is billed around J.I.D., Lil Yachty and Jeezy while last year, Burna Boy was billed as a headliner. Burna Boy also played BMO Stadium last and Rema isn't on that level yet.
Seeing the T-Pain hype on the camp grounds W1 really sold it to me. Most of us probably wouldn't pay to go see a T-Pain concert but put him on a festival line up and we're going to show up and show out because why not?
In fact, a few years ago he had to cancel a tour due to bad sales. He made a big apology letter about it. But he's still a big festival draw.
if we're talking about coachella double dipping an artist's band and solo career, adrienne lenker is a prime candidate
Adrienne closing out Sonora would be my dream booking that I would probably skip because I’ll be on some sort of substance that’ll push me to catch whatever the fuck is on at quasar

There's not enough couches in the Sonora for that set
Ibibo Sound Machine was a huge whiff this year. Book em!
I thought they were a lock for the past two years in a row given how much they love the early afternoon world music these days. I feel like eventually they'll book them...but that's what I have thought about Confidence Man since about 2018 lmao.
