Really hoping Prodigy is on outdoor and not Mojave. Do you really think they won’t get a similar crowd to Chem Bros?
Prodigy/Basement Jaxx/Kraftwerk all belong in a tent. They're not going to draw well and putting any of them on Outdoor will stick out like a sore thumb in the shape of Jean-Michel Jarre.
I agree about Basement Jaxx and even Kraftwerk but I think the Prodigy will draw a big crowd.
I don’t see how Keinemusik could play a 55 minute set tbh. Anything below 2 hours for them….is just weird. Very curious to see how that plays out. I think Coachella ‘23 was one of the shortest sets they’ve ever played lol
Also I am obsessed:
Actually - I guess Keine played for an hour at Tomorrowland lol
Basement Jaxx in the Mojave during Post would be a dream
Hell yeah lmao. No way I’m closing out the festival at Post. Last year Doja was also a wack closer I mostly hung out at DoLab but honestly just roamed the festival grounds the last hour or two.

I could see Keine playing an hour for their normal set but they will definitely get some extended time at Quasar and maybe even DoLab guest performance.
Anyone have any insights on how ACS/1of1's earplugs sound? I have some decent earplugs/don't use them all the time (I should be), and kinda want to spring on their usual Coachella sale to protect my ears with top quality. Does you still get that same bass and clarity enjoyment? I've always hated earplugs b/c my experience is almost always diminished.
I got a pair last year prior to 2023 Coachella and they are 100% worth it. Like most things they take a bit to get used to, but after an hour of wearing them, you barely even notice. The sound quality is still great, and I found they have an added benefit of filtering out a lot of nearby yappers who won't shut up during the music.
FYI I find it helpful to have two sets of filters. The 17 dB are great for really loud shows and then I have 10 dB for quieter shows/venues.
Putting the Misfits logo on there was pretty genius. It’s one of the biggest buzzing items from what I’ve seen online and most commented on, and also is a pretty cool tribute to the early days of GV
It seems like from their IG post eceryone recognizes this was a special one-time thing, but who knows
This is gonna be a very last minute decision for me this year. There’s some cool stuff here but not one huge wow act I have to see. And I feel like the local LA shows will suffice. Here’s what I’ve eyed out…
Lady Gaga / Missy Elliot / The Prodigy / FKA Twigs / Three 6 Mafia

Would you say you tend to use 10db for Coachella? I never really feel like I have ever felt earraped at Coachella except for one set at Sonora, the speakers seem really attenuated (like Justice was just perfect, for example).

Yeah 10db seemed good for Coachella generally, unless you have a habit of standing right under the speaker towers, or next to the stacks in Yuma, or similar.

I would die with 10db or even 17. Mine are 32. What ya'lls ears made of.

I'm so excited for this in the Sonora. The vibes are gonna be high
from what I remember of an analysis someone did on Reddit many years ago, the Yuma is one of the loudest places at Coachella so if you're spending a lot of time in there 10 db may not be sufficient
So I'm curious if Misfits getting their own font/logo is going to have an effect on billing going forward. Kinda feel like it's opened Pandora's box and now others might start asking for the same. Many thought SHM getting that RTTD slot was going to be a one-time deal and now with three lineups since, it's here to stay. I mean, what's to stop someone like Oasis next year being like "OK we'll play but you have to put our Oasis logo on the poster like you did with Misfits or no deal"?
I guess I'm saying that I wouldn't be shocked if headliners start demanding this too and we start seeing them billed as their own font/logo too.
Misfits reunion was initially 10 shows to help push their ongoing shirt and merch sales. All ads must have the logo and renegotiating that with current members might be too big of a can of worms to open.
GV allowed headliner photos on stagecoach before stopping that trend. Eagles also had a font twice as thick as any other headliner. Other headliners insisted on headlining Friday so they can be the top name on the poster.
Theres a country fest in Canada called Boots & Hearts that list days in reverse order. Sunday groups ontop, then Sat, then Friday. Shania or Tim McGraw wanted to be the Sunday headliner and be the first name on the poster.
Back to the point. GV can just up the offer to avoid logo issues. Plus Misfits are not headliners, so not exactly favoured treatment. Reminds me of movie posters where 1 name has a little box around it. Example below from 1966 movie that is way off topic.
