Was at Lola yesterday and the killers crowd was massive, way bigger than future x metro. Think the Killers could be a good choice for GV to book as a rock headliner. Here is my prediction:
Chappell Roan - Fred Again… The xx - Pretty Lights - Tommy Richman
Dua Lipa/Travis Scott Rauw Alejandro - Jamie XX - Laufey

A new metric I’ve been using to judge an artists rising popularity is how many themed DJ nights they have going on. In August, there are 2 Pink Pony Club nights and 3 Charli/club xcx nights happening in Austin. Zero Taylor Swift parties.
Safe to say, you have 2 of your headliners right there.

Due to current global financial events, the headliners Coachella can now afford are Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons and a 4 hour Joe Rogan Stand up Special featuring JK Rowling and Jordan Peterson.

ZOMG are we finally moving on from Taychella?!
Taylor is no longer too popular for Coachella, so she's definitely in.

What legacy acts that have never played the festival (ideally) or have not played in over a decade (if you are struggling to come up with ones who have never played) do you wish to play Coachella before they retire or pass away? (Think those getting up there in age)

i know she’s kind of been everywhere but Stevie Nicks as a sub would be really fun
David Gilmour would be cool, Slowdive have weirdly never played,

Off the top of my head.. Beach Boys (W/Brian Wilson), Elton John, The Isley Brothers, Al Green, George Clinton, Charlie Wilson/The Gap Band (He just popped out for Tyler's set, but his own set), Santana, Sister Nancy, Anita Baker
Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins (But I believe both are not physically able anymore)
Sheesh.. a lot of the names y'all listed are of people who aren't that old yet, like D'Angelo and Fiona Apple lol. Now I'm knocking on wood
I had the same initial reaction, but if Prince was a legacy headliner in ‘08 then DAngelo and Fiona basically are now too. (Prince’s first album was 30 years before 2008; D’Angelo’s was 29 years ago; Fiona’s was 28 years ago.)
30 years since their debut feels like a reasonable definition of “legacy.”
