With Chappel, man I really just don't get it. I listen to the songs and I just don't feel the vibe.
My fitness instructor calls it "Barney music" -- she hates the song Hot To Go and jokingly goes off on any one who requests it in class. It's certainly not for everyone! I like My Kink is Karma, though.

was there weekend 2, felt like the angels were farther back due to the blackpink campers. that was the day that felt most crowded that weekend anyway probably due to the stans. I'm taking Charli on any stage tho

Her songs are really catchy and the lyrics speak to a lot of people. That's pop music in a nutshell. Dan Nigro seems to be a good producer as well.
Also there isn't a swathe of lesbian/bi break up songs out there in the mainstream. Especially as that community seems to be growing daily thanks to increased acceptance (and toxic teen boys). I'm definitely not her target audience but she's good.
If you replaced Chappell with Renee Rapp (the music, not the fact she appeals to LGBT+ people as well) or Sabrina Carpenter then I'd agree. I don't get their hype
