Let’s go - we need to be pumping out mocks left and right. it’s election season
Alright fine.
Nice mock! I do think NxWorries would be second line. Also Sara Landry would probably be billed higher than Amelia Lens, but man both on the same day would be nuts.
I think playing at home for their first show back matters more to an act like Oasis compared to others.
Reunion acts avoid home markets tour opener to get the rust off before the London VIP shows.
In the past Oasis Promoters have sometimes big money Manchester-Wembley outdoor shows near the end of the tour to ensure they do all the dates not in those cities.
A few months ago I thought if Empire of the Sun was booked they'd be some 8pm Mojave act before Polo and Pan or something closes the Outdoor, but after the critical acclaim their album got they might actually be booked to close the Outdoor.

Oasis wouldn't want to go in cold to any UK show, I could see them viewing Coachella as a warm up gig for the impending Euro stadium tour/Glastonbury announcement. Also it would give them a chance to get their anger out on a shitty crowd response before the impending victory lap across Europe.

If they are its gonna be a sorta miss cause theyve sold for shit worth of tickets for their LA show.

Wow you weren’t kidding on that show selling poorly. NYC is sold out but that’s 3k cap vs 17,500 at the bowl.
Personally, I have always been a fan of EOTS and have never seen live. New album is good imo, hopefully they do fests next year.

EotS played "old, old" Sahara back in 2017 (aka same tent size+spot as Mojave now) and I couldn't get inside the tent due to the crowd. They're definitely an Outdoor act at this point (plus it seems incredibly rare that they re-book acts in the same tent+time as their previous appearance.)
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

I dunno, EOTS in 2017 strikes me as significantly bigger than EOTS in 2024. (Also worth noting they booked EOTS for the Sahara in both 2014 and 2017)

not that great live, IMO
Saw them at JLH and agree they don't sound great live, but it really didn't matter because when walking on a dream, we are the people, alive, high and low etc. etc. etc. are blasting in a crowd of people it's pretty hard not to have a good time.

It's funny you say that because their set times in 2014 and 2017 were identical. Second to last in the Sahara at 10pm.
I don't think Coachella would think twice about booking them in the Mojave just because it's the same size as the old Sahara, especially since that was damn near a decade ago. But others here have noted that their show isn't selling, so I guess it's mojave or nothing for them.
