in honor of the new charli album, did anyone catch her 2013 show that was during the true romance cycle? i remember barely knowing her name because she covered i want it that way for av club undercover (rip). looking at the schedule it looked like she was against jason isbell, calexico, and local natives. i saw local natives and i’ve never been into them but i hung around the what stage the whole day to get into the pit for paul mccartney so i don’t have any regret

I was at local natives. Every now and then I'll listen to a few songs from their first two albums. No regret there though because it was before Charli was goated.
i found it in her post history last night after mountainman posted her handle but i wanted to give it time to see if someone else was going to post ass here
there was some instagram sticker that said “bonnaroovians tap in” and she posted that photo on her story then bonnaroo linked it on their story. i’m really interested to see some ticket metrics from the last 24 hours

People on Reddit thinking Grouplove is playing the Groop pre-party on Wednesday…it’ll be Cherub again lol. People need to really stop setting themselves up for disappointment.

I'm not sure if it was Roo Bus or his friend on Reddit who said that the secret headliner was a "step above" Cherub this year. So I was thinking Moon Taxi or something of that sort.

Hadn't checked the weather before today but I'm seeing temps of high 80s and low 90s next week for Roo.
Currently 93 where I live and this would feel like hell to spend 100% outside for 5 days straight. Was just walking the dogs for 10mins and I'm drenched.
I've been going for a long time now and I dont remember a year that was hotter than 2022 Thursday
That Wednesday was hot too. But we also had that random coldest Bonnaroo night ever recently. I was in New Orleans a lot of May and it was their hottest month ever. Plus I was in Texas for Memorial Day weekend and it was 99/100. It’s 10:00 and 87 or so now. So I’m not too worried about ‘heat’ in Tennessee. But daytime hydration will matter anything above mid 80’s.

Jealousssss. I’ve been a fan since True Romance and that album holds such a special place in my heart I wish I’d seen her then!!

Been going since 2007, and the hottest I can remember was :
1. Sunday of 2007. (tried to watch Wolfmother on the Which mid-afternoon, and couldn't make it through the set.). Heat index said 105 that day.
2. Wednesday and Thursday of 2022 (YIKES.......setting up camp was unbearable)
3. EVERY day in 2011 (Dust Bowl YEAR..........the year we walked around w the Bonnaroo Do Rag over our faces)
Only one of those I was at was 22, but yeah. Setting up was fucked. Still a bit too far out but NWS has it 79/57 Tuesday, 82 and 62 Wednesday, 86/65 Thursday and high of 89 Friday. All days are sunny as of now. Hopefully if that’s close to what happens it doesn’t go up a few more degrees Saturday and again Sunday. I got a lot of sunscreen but I think I’m going to grab some aloe to bring as well. Most of my day shows are at This and That but I did have some shit in the afternoon that I wanted to see on what and which.

was gonna say the same thing about 2011 and 2022. Those were the hottest years I attended 🥵

I can attest to 2007 and 2011. Brutal. I camped at Which for a few hours for the White Stripes and it was an oven

Glad I wasn’t just being a little bitch in 2022. We stopped setting up camp that Wed after about 5-10 minutes to sit in the car AC to gather our thoughts for a moment lmao.
22 was the final nail in the coffin for my Bonnaroo tent camping adventures. Did RV last year and again this year. Have been doing RV prior for other fests for years too but always held out for Bonnaroo because the GA camp experience is just so much fun
