I’m having fun. Got in for Fuck the po lice ass Irreversible entanglements. Saw Todd and King T there. Went to a dope Yves set and ran into :bigbow: Jaz and Manders there. Just finished up a solid bbng set where I ran into nasti. I’m enjoying this weather delay and 5 degree temp drop. I’m solo left side This for GS Bluegrass
If lightning is within a certain radius they have to stop. Same thing happened at Kilby. We could literally see the storm clouds passing but they had to get outside of 8 miles for the fest to start up.

The Chappel Roan heat was probably 1000x more dangerous than the 72 raindrops and the lightning bolt that hit 38 miles away. This is a really bullshit custom that we have going on here

the rules are stupid
Sometimes. But what if that 1% of bad shit did go down cause organizers ignored warnings?
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

what if someone passed out from the heat at Chappell?
Probably happened. I watched the stream. She told everyone a couple songs in to alert her and help would get there. A couple songs from the end there were people waving hands and they got help. It really sucks a bunch of stuff got cut short but they will more often than not take the safe route. At Cruel World last year they had to stop everything cause of a lightning warning and Siouxsie Sioux didnt get to hit the stage at Iggy Pop was cut short. The day ended and everyone had to go home. They ended up having them perform the next day. Thats how it goes. Its a tough call to make and I dont think lost of us would want to be the person who makes the choice and be wrong.

about to sleep and bring this journey to an end. chappell probably has best set of the weekend for me. i can’t remember the last time i really endured some extreme heat for a show i was excited for and it was so fun. carly rae was fun from the pit until they stopped the show. i was just happy to see run away from me up close so i was happy. taking back sunday was pretty good. adam was drunk and they sprinkled in new songs in between the bangers and i felt that threw the energy off but songs like cut from the team and makedamnsure were awesome. i watched about 20 min of fred again and really really liked it. if i stayed through it that might’ve been my favorite set but camp was calling.

So what was the special Fred stage set-up if any? Pulled out early after the rain delay, 4 hours from home now. Was lovely as always to see y'all, and to those I didn't see, fuck ya, I'll catch ya next year 😘

Thoughts on Sunday as I pack up camp- definitely the best day for me which was expected. Slept in my car AC all morning until it was time to go in for Chappell. Was right behind the pit on the Which right and although it was ungodly hot, it was worth it, really fun show. I actually bought the Chappell shirt on Saturday to force myself to make it lmao. Chilled in my backpacking chair in front of the screen for Yves- crushed it. Got to catch the first half hour of Four Tet before the weather delay, heard a sick remix of Love Cry which is a favorite. When I got back into Centeroo I caught the last few Carly songs so it was nice I got to see some of both CRJ and Four Tet. Was in the pit for Meg- favorite show of the year for sure. Grabbed a good spot for Fred while my friends caught TBS, Fred was much better than I anticipated and had a lot of fun with his show. I’ll definitely always remember this as the best Sunday I’ve had here!

Sunday was a struggle but such a party. Staying out till 6am on Saturday really put me in a bad spot for Sunday. Ended up sleeping in the car in the a/c for a couple hours.
Made it in for Chappell, she was great and the crowd was super into it. Ended up just posting up at What for the remainder of the day, needed to just chill on a blanket and that cloud cover was a game changer.
Carly and Megan were both high energy and a ton of fun. Fred delivered, it was prob the most high energy closing set I’ve seen in 12 yrs. The crowd on the left side of What was livingggggg, really fun euphoric experience to end the fest.

Caught myself falling asleep at the wheel and decided to grab a hotel in Nashville for the night, guess the heat hit harder than expected! Found out a couple friends did the same lmao. Where should we go for dinner? xo

I made it as far as Jackson, TN. Definitely hoped to drive further today but that would've been dangerous.
