That’s one of the things that stood out for me as well. Seems like there were a lot of acts that could have crossed besides Batiste even though there were some last year in foo fighters, Molly Tuttle and maybe another one or two. Besides .Paak, Bomba Estereo, Juvenile, Steel Pulse and some of the lower mid card.

Renee Rapp is a great booking. I know she's everywhere but it really feels like she's set up to be this year's It Girl. Officially excited for her set.
She’s great in Max’s “The Sex Lives of College Girls” too! I saw Mean Girls on Wednesday, she was for sure the standout for me, her songs were the best numbers in the movie IMO. I had fun with it but I don’t know if I’d go so far as to say I liked it haha. I like musicals but it just didn’t fully hit for me on all cylinders.

That's totally fair. Corny For The Girlypops stuff is like 100% my guilty pleasure and where I suspend disbelief the most so I had a great time but it's definitely a different experience than the original

I think it was the Gen-Z-ification of it all. When they said “socially ruinous” instead of “social suicide” I cringed so bad hahaha. I guess it’s better than unalive though 💀

The only way I will ever catch a sunrise set is if I go to bed at 9PM and set an alarm for 6AM, which is the same way I catch a sunrise set from my favorite act - My Children Fighting Over the Last Pop Tart.

The only way I will ever catch a sunrise set is if I go to bed at 9PM and set an alarm for 6AM, which is the same way I catch a sunrise set from my favorite act - My Children Fighting Over the Last Pop Tart.
The sets end at sunrise though. So all you have to do is stay up. Piece of cake.

i think the cage single is a totally acceptable mainstream indie hit.. am i going to come back to it and listen often? no. but ill prob be okay hearing it live
Quickly becoming very excited for Chapell Roan’s set. Her super bombastic style of pop on her newest album is not only very queer camp, but also hella catchy. It’s the same producer working with Olivia Rodrigo, and the soundscape around everything shines. The song above has been firmly planted in my head by my friends. It’s as if Taylor swift decided to get over herself and make fun pop. For my girlies at Muna/Rina last year you don’t want to sleep on this.

It’s my biggest concern for 2024. Roo is already an hour behind my timezone, so when he starts at 3 it’ll be 4 for me and I’m usually asleep by 11 :/. It’s going to be by the glory of god that I stay up till sunrise. Maybe I’ll have to take me a roo nap which idk if I’ve ever napped at roo tbh. Inforoo supper and energy drink chug off sounds nice.
