As a Browns fan, I second this. TO be fair, most seasons are long for us.
I guess I'll be keeping NPR on the radio tomorrow, and probably all week. Sports talk will be all hate for Deshaun Watson, and probably Stefanski, new OC Ken Dorsey, and the owner too, because why not. We just had like 9 months of "Watson will be healthy and back to Pro Bowl form/will suck forever, the Browns will win the Super Bowl/finish 4-13" and now it's going to get ugly. There were plenty of boos, at a home game to open the season. Gonna need more science podcasts or something.

It’s amazing that two of the worst trades+extensions in NFL history happened 2 days apart in March 2016. I’m just glad my Broncos were able to find a way to dump Russell Wilson.

Loved what I saw from the Seahawks defense, thought they looked fast, played assignment sound, and for the first time since the LOB era, they tackled well too. No blown coverages, no mixups on scheme, it was very nice albeit against a not great Broncos team. Also our throwback unis are elite. Offense was a comedy of errors the first half, literally anything that could go wrong did, but to MacDonald/Grubbs' credit, they adjusted. My God, IN GAME COACHING ADJUSTMENTS!? Something, gobbless him, Pete Carroll seemed totally immune to.

Yesterday was such a clear reminder to me that American Football and the NFL is the best sport by a wide margin. The importance of every fucking play. Can't look away.
To anyone who watched the game, are the Saints much better than we thought they'd be at every aspect of the game or are the Panthers dog shit dumpster babies? Or is it somewhere in the middle?

No. Saints are mid. Panthers might not win 2 games.

The Saints are fine, but that division kinda sucks. Tampa could probably win it by getting to nine games. I feel the same about the Saints. They’re like an eight or nine win team. I was ready to dub the Panthers the worst team in the league after a half. Poor Bryce Young kinda sucks, and it’s not all his fault, that team just lacks so much talent and they never put him in a position to succeed coming off last year. I think they’re officially on the clock.

The Panthers are shit. Saints just got a nice warm up game and theyll be who they are which is hovering 500. Falcons are gonna be cheeks. Bucs are the one to watch.

I really wanted to see them let him go from this distance. One of the great NFL stories ever. Dude was drafted in R1 of MLS, washed out and retired, and then his wife said "you could do that" while they were watching football. Now he's one of the longest legs in the history of the league.

Looked like it also took a bounce off the ground. Glad he walked off but really bad look again. Worried about his long term brain health. Already was in 2022.

Tua is toast. He should hang em up, for reals. Another concussion, And he went straight into fencing position (again). His brain is going to be soup real soon at the rate he's going.
