So for you Miami locals, is there public transportation to/from Miami from FLL? MIA would be more optimal but I’m getting $100 to a $150 cheaper flying into FLL. If I’m spending money on an Uber, it probably isn’t worth it.

You can take the Tri-Rail from FLL to a stop deeper in Miami. I believe it’s two or three stops before it hits MIA. I did this in May and took an Uber downtown and paid like $10 for the Uber and the train ticket.

You could do Brightline and then take transit from the MIA stop but it could just be more effective to snag a $40 Uber from FLL.
Thanks for all the advice, guys! We found a decent flight from DC direct into MIA that was in our budget. DCA isn’t ideal but way cheaper than flying from Richmond proper.
Took this all in for next time though just in case.
