Yeah I'm not landing until 7:40 which probably puts me at the hotel around 9:15. Tempting to reschedule my flights so I can do Soulwax..... but maybe Ill just have to be content with 2manydjs. Doubt my body can handle all that anyway before a huge dance fest weekend.

Welp presale for these shows was a shit show, my group panicked as they all wanted to be together my plans changed but still happy with how it all worked out.

The soulwax x rufus overlap is so unserious to most ppl at this festival but it’s fukking with me.… Group full of Rufus lovers. Have to sneak out of Jamie after all you children for 20 mins of soulwax at the very least. What do we think.??

The last 20 minutes of the Soulwax set will be the hardest to walk away from based on the setlist they’ve been doing. You and your friends will have multiple opportunities to see Rufus in the next two years. This may be your only chance to see Soulwax and the fact that a bunch of people on a music forum nerd out consistently about them should tell you it’s probably worth seeing as opposed to seeing the same set you’ve already seen multiple times. That’s my two cents.

I don't think this can be emphasized enough. Even among #rare Euro acts Soulwax is a bit of an odd duck in that 2manydjs in some form or another come over to the US with at least some degree of regularity but Soulwax doesn't, and when they do it's impossible to predict where they're going to play. Case in point, on the 2018 tour they played exactly four dates: two at Coachella plus one in LA and one in SF. Not even in NYC! They were going to do a larger tour in the US in 2020 but we all know how that went and it doesn't appear like they have any plans to schedule anything remotely similar to that.
(Side note but similarly while Marie Davidson DJs pretty regularly her live show is fleetingly rare these days.)
