Still just stunned at how good the lineup is. I wrote off some like Disclosure or Fisher because I thought there wasn't enough lineup for everyone. Also Fisher just announced he is missing out on some shows cause of having a kid lol this doesn't count apparently.
They solved our problem of whether or not Gesaffelstein would headline or not. Although it kinda looks like Rufus is bigger, I can't tell who is the biggest on Sunday so I am just calling them all headliners.
LP Giobbi not being listed a Dead House with how many () are in the lineup is concerning.
DJ PeeWee was awesome at Heineken House last year, had live vocals, did some drumming. Played Leave The Door Open and said "Ladies and gentlemen... Bruno Mars!" Then had a Bruno Mars mascot come out lol.
I would have liked some more b2bs, not to say that it can't happen. I just think it would spice the lineup a bit and have it feel like there are less "repeats". Jamie XX b2b Honey Dijon is the main one.
Barry's live show w2 was my favorite of the weekend, but I still may skip depending on conflicts.
W lineup, we got Jersey.
I know some don't like the design but I really dig it. Not as boring as a lot of festivals, not as annoying to read in my opinion, and is fun to look at.

Was an all timer for me, but I can't think of a stage at Portola that will replicate the Gobi magic so it feels like I'll just be chasing the dragon trying to repeat those vibes.
Very excited this probably means Soulwax is finally rescheduling that cancelled NA tour. Otherwise good lineup but not a ton I won’t have had other chances to see recently
My thoughts exactly. As long as couple of acts (including Soulwax) have an LA show, I can convince myself to not go to this

Same man. Honestly, same thing with Underworld too. Couldn't repeat the feeling of the Mojave.

Really great lineup, but I feel like being an annual Coachella goer there’s usually too much crossover for me to really be enticed, considering anyone who wasn’t there this year will probably have a good shot of playing next year. I may just hope Soulwax plays LA in the fall and hope Coachella grabs some of these other names next year. Would consider a single day but $300 for one day is steep.

Personally feel like the crossover is overstated, and with so much talent the conflicts are brutal. I missed out on Labrinth Coachella 23 but caught them at Portola. I like the overlap tbh.
I guess some other artists had no announce info so it sounds like the line up wasn’t even gonna drop soon. MIA social media manager is definitely getting fired.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

Yeah last year I was able to catch all the stuff I couldn’t see at Coachella hah.
Love that Saturday lineup, but I cant make it that weekend. I'll be seeing most of the acts I care about in Chicago this summer so that softens the blow. Hopefully Soulwax do a tour around this.
Appreciate the work, but I hate Jersey opening Pier.
If Crane is really covered, I think they should be there. Or a packed ship tent could be cool.
This actually brings up an interesting point especially after reading the comments that other artists weren’t informed about the announcement yet - the number of live acts is really lopsided between the two days. I put Jersey on Pier since Pier exclusively had live acts last year and this year there’s about 10 live acts on Sunday and 20 live acts on Saturday. If they’re going to redistribute or change anything I think it’d be that.
So hypothetically speaking, will tickets go up that much this year? Wasn’t 2 day GA like $300-ish?
2 day GA was like $400 after fees, single day closer to $300.
That’s right. I remember looking at prices last time thinking it was pretty pricey but I’m digging this year’s edition. I got some extra cash and trying to decide between this and iii Points now.

considering the distance for these two festivals maybe whichever one is cheaper to fly to? Also just saw that Miami hotels are expensive as fuck rn because Taylor Swift is in town. Post said $800 when they paid $340 last year. Meanwhile I scouted out decent hotels for $340 in SF last night. Idk how much extra money you got but something to consider.

It’s definitely cheaper to fly to Miami but more expensive to stay in a hotel closer to the venue. SF is waaaay more expensive to fly to but the hotels are a bit cheaper. It’ll even out whichever way I lean, I think.
The dates work better for Portola which is where I’m leaning atm.

lineup may change before announcement so might change!
