15 and 18 would be bad. I just know Teddy is gonna hit us with Lips of an Angel and shit later. Teddy likes Mudvayne AFAIK. He's gonna throw some real dogshit at us after this, I think.
Yea I moved to 9 because it’s going to get a lot worse than Mudvayne.

I'm on 9, too. I think 13 wouldn't be a disaster but I think we're more likely gonna have 11 worse bands than Mudvayne than 12 better ones. They're in the top half of what's coming.

I'm so curious who's on here. I could bump up from 13. Y'all are kind of selling me. It's been a long time since I listened to Mudvayne. Tool, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Drowning Pool, Korn. Actually I'll join y'all at 9

I drove 9 hours to see Mudvayne on their third reunion show, yes there's some real fucking awful bands to come
I don't consider Mudvayne buttrock. They mostly stuck to the harder side of nu metal.
Towards the end of their first run they had a few songs that flirted with buttrock but I took that as just them wanting to get in the Breaking Benjamin lane so they could get their music licensed for WWE games and energy drinks and not as some kind of sonic evolution. Guys gotta get paid.
All nü metal is buttrock. Not all buttrock is nü metal.
my rule for buttrock is if I heard it on 94.3 KILO growing up, it counts
I have no context for the scaling system or other contestants so I have to go 11.
Best Mudvayne show I saw was when they opened one of the St Anger era Metallica shows with Deftones and Linkin Park. Wait I think Limp Bizkit played too. Yikes.

lol I remember that tour but I didn’t go. I’ve never seen Mudvayne.

Nah that was during the era when Wes had left and Fred was leaning into the heel thing. Just wasn't the Bizkit energy I needed at that time.

Honestly that tour was the best I've ever heard Metallica and I can't tell you how many shows I've seen. Way better than the tail end of the Newstead years. James was newly sober and they were basically doing hyper speed versions of everything.

I’ve only seen Metallica once and it was just a few years ago.

Nirvana, Tool, Rage probably my top 3. Pearl Jam would probably be top 10 for me. Saliva has to be at the bottom with Staind, Chevelle, and Breaking Benjamin rounding out the bottom half.
I worked motionless in white the other day and pre show roughly 5000 people were all singing Cold by Crossfade in unison. this list could be tragically bad.

I will say it mostly trends pre-2010, just feel like people here aren't as familiar with Bad Omens and Wage War or whatever

Are Red Hot Chili Peppers buttrock, or is GWAR the only buttrock representation on the 2024 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival lineup?
this is a great question, and i'm sure it's one we've tackled here before. i might have had a different answer then, but i'd argue that RHCP is NOT buttrock. they are too rooted in funk.
