Some non lineup questions, probably for those who have been to a Music Midtown. If the fest is moved to Piedmont Park what’s the hotel options that way? Especially if you’re gonna be on a budget
Not many budget hotels within walking distance from Piedmont. I stayed in a nice one that was within walking distance, but def not 'budget'
It would only make sense for Shaky to move to the fall next year when I wouldn't be able to go, and then they get one of my bucket list bands I've been waiting on (Pearl Jam, Tool, SOAD).
They could take over the Voodoofest time spot, since it's evident that one will never come back (sigh).

I saw Ghost at SK back in 2016 or so. Played at Central Park. Was funny, as the security dudes kept glancing up at stage like 'what in the Hell is going on back there...' instead of doing their job and looking at us.

ah I thought it was just Park Tavern. This was the more recent app too so they changed from June to May for some reason.

Agreed. The extreme pessimist in me says SK is going on "hiatus" or is just done due to site issues, gun law issues, etc. If it is happening in 5/2025, I would expect to hear something this week or next. If it is changing dates to the Fall, then we may just not hear anything for another 6 months.

You can find the monthly meeting agendas under each individual NPU. Piedmont Park is under NPU E.
ah there's a meeting tomorrow for it to approve and I don't see why it wouldn't get approved.
There's a meeting for the O4W NPU on the 25th so I guess that's the last hope for May. They did wait until the November meeting to get approval for 2023 so not impossible.

actually for the bike thing, they also applied for May 17th which is on the agenda for tomorrow, the filings are identical? As for Shaky not being on there, I can't explain but if you go back to every major festival (Music Midtown, past Shaky's, One Music Fest), I don't see any on the MOSE calendar. Wonder if they're exempt from making it public for some reason?
I guess we'll know tomorrow. If the bike event on the 3rd doesn't get approved then I think Piedmont looks really good.

I would expect dates soon for a fall fest, just assuming they hold the same rough lead time as they have been doing. Basically spring date announcement with spring fest. So should assume fall date announcement for fall fest. With that said if they drag this out past Christmas I’m just going to go ahead and start booking other stuff for may and for October. This lack of any news at all is pretty ridiculous really.

MCR just announced a tour for the fall of next year and no ATL date.
Black Parade coming to Shaky? Pretty weird they’re only doing one Southeastern date also the entire tour list seems small. Probably playing lots of festivals too

That’s what I’m hoping for honestly. Would be an amazing get for Shaky. Part of me thinks they might be too big tho looking at the venues they are playing.

Green Day and Foo have both done stadium tours and they’ve played Shaky and both are bigger than MCR
