changed my answer from eggplant to lettuce bc you’re absolutely right. it’s 99% water anyway!!!
Yeah lettuce doesn't really offer the most in terms of nutritional value so I don't really get the whole argument of it being essential or important or whatever.
Every other kind of lettuce > iceberg. But in dumerica, that’s the one most places serve.

Romaine has some good stuff in it. But I rarely ever see it on top of a burger or in a BLT. I do enjoy making little taco boats with big romaine leafs. Those are dope.
Carrots are kinda boring to me these days and they don't really play well with others. Carrots and lettuce excite me the least out of everything here.
Important for mire poix, stews and soups. Also good raw and juiced.
Stews and Soups are kinda in the background for me. If they fall in my lap, fine. But I'm not out here searching high and low for a stew very often and when I do I'm not blown away by the carrots.
Missed out on the last two days, but I'm in for this survivor! Sad about celery, but hell yeah to kicking peas to the curb. For me, easily the worst on the list.
I want to vote green beans. Not because I dislike them, but because no matter what you do to them, they taste the same. But considering the leaders, I am on asparagus. It's fine enough. I don't eat it a lot though.
Cauliflower is a favorite. I make a lot of cauliflower rice and roasted cauliflower is easily one of my favorite basic veggie sides. I also agree with MovieBob that lettuce is too much of a staple to go this early. Definitely the most important veggie topping on a sandwich or burger (note, not a hamburger sandwich). And whereas, I love a spinach salad and eat those the most. There are little meals as refreshing as a crisp and cool lettuce-based salad.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

You haven’t had the right person cook green beans. You probably still wouldn’t like it because you hate southern cooking. There is good and bad though, definitely not always the same.

They always just taste like green beans covered in whatever. The base flavor never changes. But yeah, I am sure your favorite recipe would not be my favorite haha

I love them all except iceberg - red leaf, arugula, Bibb, butter, mache, frisée, radicchio, oak leaf, watercress. I don’t care as long as it’s not iceberg and it’s no nutritional value.

I make stew pretty regularly and always throw in some carrots or parsnips along with like 10 other kinds of vegetables.

I don’t feel like they always taste the same. They are green beans but try a drizzle of sesame oil instead of butter next time you make you some haricot verts.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

Oh I cook them in an Asian-style more often than not, so my green beans know sesame oil well. Still taste like green beans - just in sesame oil.
