Dead
1. Fire on the Mountain 2. St. Stephen 3. Scarlet Begonias 4. Touch of Grey 5. Throwing Stones 6. Eyes of the World 7. Brokedown Palace 8. Franklin's Tower 9. Estimated Prophet 10. Ripple (probably wouldn't have included this a few months ago, but it ended up on a playlist I play for my daughter when we're winding down for her to go to bed, and she loves it, so I've grown to love it more than I did)
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

The only song I’ve sung to my girls more than “Ripple” is “Lullabye” by Ben Folds Five.

Updated Tom Waits: I Don't Wanna Grow Up is the new #1 and a bunch of stuff shuffled around, check the Google Sheet if you're invested
Currently have listed 'China Cat Sunflower' and 'China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider' as separate songs for the Dead but curious if anyone has strong opinions there

One song is fine. I would have done it that way, but I wasn’t sure if it was allowed.

Rider came a few years before china cat so it was on it's own for a few years, but they were first paired in '69 and played sequentially with very few exceptions, usually with Rider on it's own. off hand I dunno any times when China cat wasn't followed by rider except this show from Winterland '72 when they squeezed China cat into a smoking Good Lovin'

Ah nice. I've learned something new today and will go ahead and combine them into one entry on the sheet

1. Sculptures of Anything Goes 2. Brianstorm 3. R U Mine? 4. Star Treatment 5. A Certain Romance 6. Crying Lightning 7. Body Paint 8. Dancing Shoes 9. 505 10. Knee Socks
Dead seems like one of the more diffuse votes we've ever done. A 30 point #1 made me think like five people did lists.
Oh we've definitely had weeks where no one shows up before, but I think the low overall score on the #1 was more about the diversity of songs picked... Kind of the opposite of Wet Leg week where it was a much narrower pool, just an extensive catalog of Dead songs that could be picked

These guys have such a deep catalog at this point, I actually feel bad about not including anything from their last few albums.
1. The View from the Afternoon 2. 505 3. Crying Lightning 4. Dance Little Liar 5. Brianstorm 6. When the Sun Goes Down 7. Pretty Visitors 8. Secret Door 9. Do I Wanna Know? 10. A Certain Romance
Hmm...nomination pool is getting sausagey. Nominating Metric.

The View From the Afternoon Red Light Indicates Doors are Secured Mardy Bum When the Sun Goes Down I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor Fake Tales of San Francisco Arabella Fluorescent Adolescent 505 Crying Lightning
So basically, if they ever do an anniversary play of Whatever People I Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not (not holding my breath), I’m there.
I won't do the "ranking one 10-song album" thing again, but I could do it just as easily for Humbug as I could for Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.
Shit I could probably do a top *50* for this band.
