Metallica is one of my dad's favorite bands, so I grew up with their music. A lot of these are sentimental picks rather than the songs that are probably Metallica's "best." Garage, Inc got a lot of spins in my house, which is why it's so heavily represented.

Happy listening!
If you do end up reranking, I'd be much obliged if you could quote the original post instead of editing to make sure I get your updates reflected in the final rankings
Also, make sure to revisit the Lou Reed and Metallica collaborative album "LuLu" since it seems to be conspicuously missing from most of these lists

I put The View on mine. They've played it at like 1% of their shows, so I think it's justified because James Hetfield yells a lot about how he's "the table"

I'll go to bat for Lulu. I think I like it for the same reasons people like movies like The Room. It's pretty unambiguously a failure but I find it fascinating for some reason
I know. It's still a lot of covers for a best of list.
And it didn't include Stone Cold Crazy.
Do I have to include "it's my list, I don't give a shit" disclaimers every time now /s
Of course not. I was just surprised, probably because I really try to steer clear of covers for this exercise though I think I've included one or two. That's just my approach, though.
Honestly, they do a lot of great covers. Wouldn't be hard to compile a top ten worthy of submission.
