I am going to be perfectly happy when American Girl is high up, for nostalgic reasons. He ended his set in 2013 with that song and a bunch of us had a dance party out in the What field. It was a very special night.

I haven’t posted a list in this thread for a long time (idk why, I need to get back to it), but Petty is such a nostalgic love for me. Listened to him with my dad a lot growing up. Gonna try to compile my top ten tomorrow.

Yeah, I thought about getting tickets to his July 2017 Forest Hills Stadium show, then didn't, thinking I'd have a chance to catch him another time. Two and a half months later, he was gone. Sigh.

I know all Petty's old hits will understandably get most of the love but his Mojo album back in 2010 was really good. Trip to Pirates Cove is such a great jam.

I saw him a long time ago, probably my early 20’s and I’ll never forget that show. He sounded amazing and it was nonstop hits front to back. he’s truly missed.
