Intermission should clearly be #1 on this list, then Chocolate Chip Trip, then Die Eier Von Satan. After that it gets pretty grim.
Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman) is a pretty fantastic intro to Rosetta Stoned though. Likely why you didn't touch it, lol.

I want to nominate A Tribe Called Quest and/or The National.
Added Tribe to the list. Feel free to nom The National once we've finished ATCQ (or just have someone who isn't currently on the waitlist with a nomination do them for you). Either way, looks like we'll get there around early April

We also should probably figure out how we're going to handle Phish in a few weeks when it comes to submitting live tracks, different versions of live songs, songs that flow into each other, etc.
Dale Cooper since you nommed them, what did you have in mind here? Anybody else feel free to toss out ideas as well

I am not the biggest phish fan on this board. Everyone knows that is 3post1jack1. But it would be WAY too unwieldy to try and say I preferred Bathtub Gin from 11-97 and someone else preferred one from 12-95. My suggestion would be to list songs as we normally would, and if people want to provide a favorite version in parentheses, they can.
For example:
1) Divided Sky (10/31/94) 2) 2001 (6/14/2000 - the Fukuoka one) 3) Punch You in the Eye (12/31/1995) 4) Chalkdust Torture 5) Bathtub Gin 6) Weekapaug Groove (12/31/1995) 7) Bouncing Around the Room (A Live One) 8) Run Like an Antelope 9) Back on the Train (Fukuoka) 10) Farmhouse - just because it was the first Phish song I ever heard
It would be really easy to get into the weeds with Phish, but I'm a casual phan. There are about 4-5 live shows that I return to, but I'm not an encyclopedia. I would only be measuring the songs listed, not the versions.

agree this is the best method. wouldn't make any sense to have, say, multiple versions of Tweezer on the same list.
regarding songs that are typically paired up, a la Mike's Groove, i think we should stick to individual songs. would be kind of cheating to say mike's > IAH > weekapaug is one of my favorite phish "songs".

Agree with all of the above. Also, when adding songs to the playlist, I'll default to whichever version was specified by the person who rated that song most highly on their top 10 (or whichever version comes up first on Spotify if they didn't specify)

I'm a dope for just finding this thread. This is great for procrastinating.
1) Forty Six & 2 2) Swamp Song 3) Vicarious 4) Hooker with a Penis 5) Undertow 6) AEnema 7) Intolerance 8) Stinkfist 9) Schism 10) Parabola (or Parabol/Parabola is that's allowed)
I feel like I had to leave off 8-10 of my favorites. The Pot and Opiate are particularly mad at me. I was not planning on listening to Tool today, and it's changed the whole tenor of my day.

Welcome! If you're so inclined, feel free to submit lists for stuff we've already done (see the Previous Results document in the OP)
