JPEGMafia is listed on Wikipedia as industrial hip-hop, and Danny Brown as punk rap, but their collaborative album is only listed as hip-hop and alternative hip-hop. Should they be given a "spirit of the game" exception to be eligible for Rock/Punk/Metal Draft III?

Also, my main objection is if they’re elegible as a pair then what’s stopping someone from drafting another collaboration with one pick. It’s effectively knocking two artists off the board with one swoop.
Does the backing band use live instruments when they perform or is it them rapping over beats? Honest question.
i agree that music is only real if there is a backing band. enough with all this pushing a button and the music coming out. thats not my music, i'm not having any of that. music today is no good. whatever happened to great bands like led zeppelin and the rolling stone? those guys could really play. thanks for bringing this point up and agreeing with me. as led zepplein said "i know it's only rock and roll but i like it". god bless.

I should have noted that I love both of them and if it was separate, I’d have zero problems with it.
I’m actually curious how they perform that live though 😂
they deal is, the deal is tdoay you have these guys get up there and just play the CD and sing over it. thats not rock and roll. all these DJs and electronic rappers. not my music.
The issue isn’t if they should be included but how.
Why is that the issue? They’re obviously a group that has played live.
Drafting two solo artists as a collaboration. You’re getting twice the acts for one pick. If you wanted that you should draft separately and include it as a superjam or on the schedule.

That’s just my take.
they released an album together.
Oh yeah, and toured. I totally get that. I’m not trying to name examples but there’s plenty of collaborations like that that would be unfair to draft.
Again, I totally think both are draft-able. I think they’d fit together at a rock/punk/metal type festival. I just don’t like the idea of being able to cross off a bunch of things because someone got to it first.

Don’t be mad that he thought of it first. Use it as inspiration.
