When it comes to the major gets, my "I'm getting tickets right now" is still hoping some day they'll be able to pull off either Aphex Twin or My Bloody Valentine. I'd love to see Pavement return too.
Good call on that list shuck. With that in mind, some major gets from BNM list earlier in this year would be Still House Plants, Kim Gordon, Verraco, and Cindy Lee if they could make that work.
Other than that if they were to book MK.gee, Porches, Nilufer Yanya, Iglooghost, Lip Critic, Khadija Al Hanafi, LUCY (Cooper B. Handy), Floating Points, System Olympia, Drain Gang, Snow Strippers, Gee Tee, Yves Tumor, Caribou, Ovolv, Fievel Is Glauque, George Clanton, Quiet Light, Four Tet or Joey Valence & Brae ... I'd be happy.

Huge loss. Pitchfork is the one festival I’ve been going to consistently for my entire festival going life, only skipping once when I had to for a wedding. Consistently great lineups with some of the most unique artist selections of any North American fest for incredibly cheap up until the bitter end. I was incredibly lucky to have this festival in my backyard and I’ll be sad not to go next year.
15 years of covering it and it was one of my favorites weekends to look forward to. Rain, heat, humidity, mud, I gave zero fucks cause it was always a good time. So many friends and strangers always with smiles on their faces. Conde Nast can suck a fat one for thinking they could do their shit with this festival. Now Im curious if theyre going to try some smaller like the winter version again. Or do it like London or Paris. They can put together a few venues and shows around a weekend and use the brand. This is so fucking sad.
Wtf! Were there any indications that this was going to happen? And I wonder if they’re planning to do it in another city in the US instead
there wasn’t really any indication but I think we’ve all been a bit nervous ever since the Condé Nast acquisition and articles trickling out about upper brass asking why Pitchfork didn’t book an Oasis reunion. There’s that but they’ve never mentioned attendance figures but I also think it’s probably safe to say the numbers just haven’t been as high as they were since 2021. So……not a huge profit maker, gets cut. Not much more to it than that I think.
