Love saying crap. Particularly “aw crap.” Very low stakes, you can say it in basically any situation and no one really counts it as profanity, but it stands out from a polite conversation. Also it’s just a funny word.
Once, when my aunt was home from college on a break, she said crap, and my grandmother said, “oh, we’ve learned a new word at college.”
When I was in elementary school, whenever it is that you start learning cursive, we were in the car with an elderly aunt heard talking about it. She responded with disgust cursive!?

When I was a kid, my dad used to call me Ho Dawn sometimes. I did not appreciate that. Pretty sure he just thought it was funny how much I protested it.

I've always thought bastard was sort of clunky and a bit medieval.
