Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
You have been given the opportunity to curate the lineup for Bonnaroo 2025! If an act has played at least two live public shows of six or more songs since 2021 or has announced upcoming shows by the time the draft starts, they are eligible. The top thirty artists on each lineup will be locked into non-compete clauses preventing them from being on anyone else's lineup. When the top 30 is complete, you can add up to an additional 80 undrafted free agents to your lineup. This Bonnaroo will be in the same continuity as every Bonnaroo that has happened before. Meaning if you book someone like RHCP to headline for a second year in a row that should probably be looked down upon. But don't overthink it, we'll just be voting for the best lineup that would also sell 80,000 tickets. We're not going to worry about stuff like "oh this artist would never actually play Bonnaroo". If they're eligible and available you can book them. A maximum of two artists can play the What or Which Stage on Thursday.
1) Once an artist or member of an act is drafted they are unavailable to anyone else however side-projects and solo artists from that act would still be eligible until separately drafted as long as their typical set contains no more than six songs by a previously drafted performer.
2) A maximum of two superjams are allowed (but not required) and will not take up a draft/free agent slot.
3) Disputes handled via poll. Upon confirming receipt of dispute request, a poll will be put up and run for twelve hours. Polls can run seven days a week but no poll will start before 9AM or after 9PM Eastern. Drafting will continue while the poll is running. If a poll is a tie, the thing being disputed stands. No act will be polled if disputed more than twelve hours after selection or later.
4) Once we have 20 participants, draft order will be randomly generated for the first round and will continue as a snake draft. (I.e., the person with the last pick in the first round would have the first pick in the second round.)
5) In Rounds One through Ten, picks between 9AM and 9PM Eastern will have a maximum of six hours. Any turn that starts between 9PM and 3AM Eastern will expire in twelve hours. Any turn that starts between 3AM and 6AM will expire in nine hours. Any turn that starts between 6AM and 9AM will expire in seven hours. Picks between 9 AM and 9 PM Eastern will have a maximum of two hours. If you're up after 9 PM you have until 9 AM the next day to pick.
Superjam can only consist of people on your lineup (whether drafted or taken as a free agent). If you want to take an individual artist that hasn't been drafted but you don't want to put them on the actual lineup (for example if Biz Markie was still alive but you only want him to sing "Just a Friend" at the Superjam) that's fine too, as long as that artist wasn't drafted.
When you post your selection, identify who the pick is. (Do not assume that everybody else can recognize your pick from pic or gif - formatting issues sometimes make them unreadable.) In addition, tag the next person after you and the person going after them to keep things moving.
7) Trades are allowed. All participants must verify the terms of the trade. (Note: Trades are subject to dispute. In the event that a trade is believed to be unrealistically lopsided, a participant can call for a poll on the validity of said trade.)
8) 30 rounds of standard drafting.
9) Up to 80 undrafted free agents can be selected in the ninety-six hours after the last draft selection. An additional 55 free agents specifically for the Who Stage, Where In The Woods, or Plazas can be selected. If you plan on doing this please specify which acts are playing those stages. Following that, participants will then have their UDFA presented individually, allowing time to highlight acts and for other participants to verify that no previously drafted acts were included as another's UDFA.
10) Any rule changes prior to the start of the draft will be decided by me and updated in the OP.
11) Any rule changes after the start of the draft will require fifteen participant votes in favor prior to adoption.
12) A rule change cannot be instituted to change the process of changing rules or disputes. (E.g., no vote to assign a "ref.")
13) If an artist performs both solo and with a set band, then when one is drafted all iterations are off the table. For example, if Prince is drafted then Prince and the Revolution is off the table. However if Neil Young is drafted then Neil Young & Crazy Horse is off the table but not Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
14) If an act has multiple lineup configurations, the one drafted should be identified when drafted. Other configurations would then be off the table. For example, if you were selecting Van Halen then you verified that you were choosing the iteration with Gary Cherone, the David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar VH's would be off the table.
15) In the event that a participant is unable or unwilling to complete the draft, a Supplemental Round (Round 31) will be established. All of that participant's selected artists would be available for selection in this round. The order would be random and would be established after completion of round 25 or whichever round follows the departure of the drafter, whichever is later. Only one supplemental round will occur regardless of the number of acts available. If fewer than twenty-five supplemental acts become available or if a drafter does not want to select a supplemental act then they may select any other available act. Unselected acts from the supplemental round are available as free agents.
16) If a drafter appears to be acting to the detriment of the draft, participants are able to request that drafter's removal. Removal will require seven votes in favor. Only participants may vote and the votes are public. That participant's drafted artists would be moved to a supplemental round
17) If a drafter may not be able to make their pick, they may select a proxy or proxies to select on their behalf. Proxies must be stated in thread.
18) When realistic, do not name unselected draft-eligible acts.
19) In the event that a team takes an act who has been accused of any sort of assault, harassment, violence, etc. (or if this happens mid-draft) and the drafting team did not know this, they may drop that act, however can only replace them in UDFAs.
Lady Gaga / Travis Scott / Tame Impala Jack White / pink pantheress / Glorilla / Wilco Jamie xx / Goose (2 sets) / Sexyy Red / Grimes Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton Joanna Newsom / Tommy Richmond / LP Giobbi JPEGMAFIA / Magdalena Bay / Waxahatchee Black Coffee / Snow Strippers / The Sword
I wouldn't be against a list of undraftable acts tbh. I feel like taking Taylor locks down 80k alone and then you can just do fuck all.
If you want to book Taylor Swift then like a Desert Daze lineup underneath go for it. You'd just take into consideration Taylor's day would be packed and the rest of the weekend would have like 10,000 people. Also the vibes would be a little confusing
I made a couple of minor adjustments. The rules now allow for artists who have announced upcoming shows but haven't played since 2021 to be drafted. However, if a band announces a reunion once the draft has started they obviously would not be eligible. Also something to take note, if a band has played shows since 2021 but has announced they are breaking up (or taking a hiatus) you can still book them. I'm open to changing this if people want that. I'm just trying to keep it simple and fun. Last thing I made a rule to only allow up to two acts to play the What/Which on Thursday. Basically you're not allowed to turn Thursday into a full day of music.

If an act meets eligibility requirements only after the clock has started, they are only available to be selected as a free agent.
So if we started two weeks ago, Oasis wouldn't be eligible.
Then everyone would have free agented Oasis?
I think people would be much more cautious than that but if that’s the risk you wanna take, go ahead. It seems much more fair than someone getting lucky and nabbing a crazy reunion in round 22 or something.

If an artist announces a reunion once the draft has started they are not eligible. Artists that have announced shows before the draft has started are eligible. But if you want to do a free agent rule for artists announcing comebacks in the middle of the draft I can do that.
do we think 14 is a good number / do we have an idea of a start date?
14 is a good number but I was thinking maybe give people the rest of the day to have a chance? I can probably start it tomorrow or do you guys think next Monday would work better since we won't have the weekend slowing us down
