Prepare The Ground May 30th - June 1st Toronto, Ontario CANADUH
Prepare the Ground is an exciting new metal and heavy music festival taking place this year. The inaugural event was spread across five venues: the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Lee's Palace, the Garrison, the Baby G, and Bar Orwell. Orwell closed just weeks before the event and The Phoenix was too far to be walkable to the other venues. After the festival was over, they said this:
Our second annual festival is taking place May 30 - June 1, 2025 in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada across 4 venues that will be announced in the fall. Our mission is to make 2025’s edition as walkable as possible.

Founded by Denholm Whale of Transmit Presents and KW Campol of Mythos Management, the festival draws inspiration from European events like Roadburn and Amplifest, focusing on heavy music as a form of collective catharsis rather than adhering strictly to one subgenre.
The lineup is days away but they announced Yob playing two sets (one of which is the incredible Atma album in full) and I didn’t flinch buying a presale.
