Probably the most evil state in the union/the center of all hellish things in modern society but also unfortunately way better to live in than any other. Tough call.
We’re gonna get stuck with some complete dross if we don’t start giving out the highest spots. No good reason Hawaii and Oregon shouldn’t be top 5 in hindsight

I'm as much an east coast elitist/NYC snob as anybody, but there's no denying California is the best state overall. Best weather (when it's not on fire), best geography, best oceanic body of water (Pacific > Atlantic any day), etc.
I'm as much an east coast elitist/NYC snob as anybody, but there's no denying California is the second best state overall after Hawaii, obviously. Second best weather (when it's not on fire), second best geography, best oceanic body of water (Pacific > Atlantic any day), etc.

I totally agree.
Hawaii is beautiful and amazing, but I disagree about the geography. In California, you can go skiing and surfing on the same day. The variety is what puts it over for me.

Best frozen pizza kitchen.
Yeah, what they try to pass off for pizza and bagels is a knock, no doubt.

Silicon Valley isn't in Texas, though they are trying to move it here.

counterpoint: none of us can afford to buy a house there because of terrible local housing policy.
Esteban can't call anyone maga for disagreeing with him this time around, kinda disappointing tbh
Sure he can.
Haha. I voted #1 though I'm not sure if it's the best state or not. Alaska may be the best of the best. I've only been to Los Angeles and stayed there for a couple months in my early 20's. I loved it. I also had great pizza there. I stayed in the Valley in Studio City, so we had Michael J's Pizza. And Pizzeria Uno was great delivery before they changed all their shit up. California pizza is generally good because the toppings are great there (as is the produce in grocery stores). California turned me on to fresh tomatoes as a topping. I still get that whenever I can find it.

1 is probably right. I’ve really only been for Coachella but a lot of (what I can only imagine are) great cities. Beaches, mountains, natural parks, etc.
My only holdout is the cost of living but I also don’t have a better answer for the top spot. NY? WA?
