Welcome to inforoo!
Someone posted this article in another thread, it provides a lot of info about the type of emergency service/backup they have at Bonnaroo. There are medic tents everywhere, a helicopter stationed nearby in case of emergency, etc. etc. all the details are in the article
There are rumors of tent theives, but I have never known anyone to personally experience it nor have i heard any first second or even thirdhand accounts. Make friends with your neighbors, 99.9999% of the people are there to have a good time, just like you. Consider dry ice in your cooler if you're worried about the temp. Most tents can be locked at the zipper parts with inexpensive small padlocks available from the dollar store. If it's even somewhat hard to get into, no one is going to waste their time trying to take your stuff.
Other than that, i'm sure you can have an awesome, safe time at Roo despite your medical condition. You can carry snacks with you into Centeroo, which makes things easier. Just make sure you stay fed and hydrated, and have fun!
Let us know if there's anything else you'd like to know, and be sure to just browse around the board... it is a wealth of knowledge and friendly people!

I heard about people having stuff stolen (mostly coolers) but we didn't have any problems. Although anything valuable we locked in our cars. But we left our grill, chairs, coolers etc. sitting out and no one touched our stuff.
With 80,000 people, there will always be some scum. Most of the thieving that you hear about is relatively petty (coolers, chairs, etc.) and I for one have only heard of bigger issues through the grapevine, so who really knows. As cannibus said, there's an incredible security/medical infrastructure that's very accessible, but far from invasive. Each camping area has an individual "pod" where you can receive help with just about anything you can think up.
I've seen at least 10 first-hand accounts of theft on this site alone. I've had friends lose easily carried away stuff (beer, food, chairs, blankets), but never any broken-into cars. Lock your cooler in the car and you should be fine. Make friends with your neighbors and look out for their stuff too. Even 0.5% bad people means 400 in a crowd of 80K. Most seemed to be crimes of opportunity (hungry, thirsty, cold, tired, and/or hammered).
Don't let it get you down, but take a few precautions to make yourself a low-profile camper. A little prevention goes a long way, IMO.
another thing you can do, if you want to keep your medictions in the cooler, is get a chain and lock a bunch of stuff together, and get a cooler that locks. No one is going to steal your cooler if its attached to a couple of chairs and a tent.
About storing the medicine elsewhere, I don't know. I would think maybe they could keep it at the medical tent, but I'm not sure, I'd email the roo people.
My only suggestion is don't get a cooler with wheels. Sadly we had a very nice cooler with wheels, full of water, juice, red bull and food that walked off from our campsite last year. I was more upset about losing the stuff that was in it than losing the cooler itself. I totally attribute the fact that it was stolen because it had wheels and was very easy to just walk off with. We had another cooler without wheels that remained behind. We'll be throwing our wheelless cooler in the trunk this year, whenever we leave camp. It was more unlucky than anything and like most people have said, it was a very rare occurrence.
The coolers are definatly something that we locked up in the truck whenever we left camp, and the keys we somewhere secure, but a place where everyone knew where to get them (in my tent cause i rented that truck under my name and i trust noone but myself with those keys, especially the loopy females i hang out with)
I can't speak for Roo, but at Coachella you can leave your supplies securely in one of the medical tents. Just make sure that you have the correct paperwork to get them through the gate in the first place. My only suggestion would be not to get yourself jammed up in the front of a crowd, anywhere else and folks will get help to you as soon as they see you're in trouble.
I caught an epileptic as he hit the ground last year and in the two minues it took for him to work out his fit we had medics on hand, police to clear the area and more offers of assistance that anyone could handle. Even if 0.5% may steal your stuff, 99.5% will help you if you're in trouble.
we always kept our cooler in the trunk, and just kept the trunk open while we were at camp. i was worried a few times about people takings our chairs (we had about 10 of them) and a bunch of other stuff, but we didnt have a single problem with any of that.
as for your medicine, just keep it in the car, wrapped up tight in a small cooler to keep hot temps off of it if need be, you wont have a problem.
last year i brought a small lock box that you open with a key, and kept all the valuble stuff in that under the car seat.

I've had some real d*ckhead neighbors over the years, but i've never had anything stolen. D*ckheads or not, being friendly with those camped around you is very important. Make enough friends and someone will pretty much always be around your campsite keeping watch. Lock up all of your valuables (meds in small cooler) in your car, chain your cooler to one of your tires and make friends....everything should be okay. Goodluck!

My wife is diabetic (with a pump) and, although she doesn't attend, I would never think that the diabetes would keep her from it. I would just put one vial of insulin in a medic tent (or somewhere like that) in Centeroo and put the rest in a cooler at the camp. With all the sweating, walking, dancing, etc....I would think that your risk is more of going low than having high blood-sugar. I would just pack plenty of snacks for Centeroo and be aware of your sugar dropping.
I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know...but my point is that you should be fine. If you manage it half as well as my wife does, you shouldn't have any problems.
possibly... my bro was supposed to drive but plans JUST changed... so i dont even know who im going with... i have like about 20 friends who are going so im sure...
Annaparker, Last year was my second roo. It was however my first one on dialysis. I do perotineal dialysis, and had to bring a butt load up supplies in with me. Regardless, I think last year was far better than my first.
I'm still seeing little floaters and flashes of light. weeeeeeeEEeEeee....

I don't know where you are coming from or what your plans are but, if you need some support/help/friends, my girlfriend and I would be more than willing to hang-out with you. Not that you need "looking after" or anything, we just understand how "it" is and are more than happy to help-out. If we can meet someone cool in the process, that's just a bonus!
