so you can park in bonnaroo and set up your camp on Wednesday? Can anyone else confim this? How early did people get there on Wednesday and they let you in?
a word of warning they will stick you in the boonies on wednesday. but yest they do let people in on wednesday. i think remember reading they opened around 8 last year.
We got there at around 11PM on Wed. night in 2005 and they put us in "that" campground. You know the one. The separate campground with the walking path that gives you at least a 30 minute walk to Centeroo.
if i was doing tent only id go on wednesday. but i like the security the van provides. i have a strange fear of someone freeking out and driving over me in a tent. so ill go thursday morning and hopefully get as close as i have the past 2 years.

according to some inforoo campers, they weren't letting people head over to tent only from where they parked in BFE on wednesday and even into the early am on thursday
I am going to be in tenting only again this year, If I were to come early they would still let me camp there right? otherwise there nothing stoping you from moving latter.
Last year they opened the gates at about 7:00 - 7:15 PM on Wednesday night. The people who were coming in then were being parked in BFE. They didn't open the main site and start parking people in there until Thursday morning around 9:00, I think...
You couldn't walk to, nor set up in Tent only until they opened the main site on Thursday morning. This is hwo it was over on "my side" of the festival.
I don't know when they opened the interstate side or when they started parking people over there.
With the festival going to 4 days, and more and more indinications are show that Thursday will be fuller than in years past, they opneing may be earlier than normal.
I am sure they will address this on the official site at some point...wether Thursday will be a daytiem thing as well. If so, they have to let people in earlier.
I can remember in 05, there was still a line of traffic trying to get in and parked while DMB was playing the Friday headliner. I would have been pissed!!!

We got in at around 10 a.m. Thursday morning and we got put all the way in the back area where you had to walk on that boardwalk and then go all the way around the VIP area to get to centeroo....so I don't know if it really matters when you arrive.
I love the variety in these stories. We got in line at about 12noon ish, sat in line and got in and parked finally at 5 to unload...We were a 15 min walk of you wanted to take it slow from Centeroo. It all depends on time of arrival and a little Bonnaroo magic.

Agreed - totally random. I think it has more to do with which gate through which you enter than with time of day - I imagine certain gates will funnel you to certain camp areas.
Other posts about 9:00 opening last year are accurate. We sat in line for maybe 20 minutes and then the line started moving pretty quickly right at 9:00. We were completely set up and sitting back drinking beer by 11:30.
All I hope is to get in line at least an hour earlier then we did last year and see where that takes us. I sort of like that rule of thumb myself...pick a time then get there about 30-60min before.....unless you plan on getting in Wednesday night.
