I've heard mixed reviews about tent fans, but I've heard everyone say it's essential to get sleep and be as cool as possible while trying to sleep in the morning. Wondering what brands/exact models of battery powered fans that people have used. Where they good or bad. Any tips for using them. Thanks
I bought the Coleman Ceiling fan/light The LED light was awesome but if you were 12 inches from the fan cant feel it. The fan part sucked. had foam blades that was probably half the problem.

i had one, it obviously didn't make things 100% better, but it was nice. i liked it especially right in the face while waking up, not to mention the tingly refreshing cool that comes from tent fan + baby wipes

We would go down with an RV if it wasn't for the gas guzzling....I don't even wanna know how much I'd shell out to fill up an RV 4 or 5 times there and back.
This is what i bought from WalMart, worked out great, batteries stayed alive all weekend, and i used it often. And the light was nice and bright. And the Fan had two settings. And the sound of the fan was a nice sound to fall asleep too. . .lol
I think Im going to pick one up too. It wasnt too bad last year cause I slept outside, but I think that this year we will probably have more than enough rain to make up for last year, and so Ill need to be sleeping in the tent. Ugh.
And dont buy the black coleman fan with the LED light, they are terrible. Ozark makes another tent fan without the light that is slightly bigger I believe. It works also.

Thanks guys. Definitely need to get one of these for this year. Last year I woke up at 7 every morning without fail 'cause I thought I was gonna die. It was so hot in there.

ahh, yes the 6:30-7am morning heat waves and dripping sweat already in teh greenhouse known as a tent in TN. I may have to invest in one...although getting up early helped with the bathroom and ice runs.
check out coleman "tent fan". has a 2 piece magnet that you put inside and outside of your tent so it will hang above you! like a celing fan!! uses 1 D battery. 16 hr. run time on hi. $13.99 on www.campmor.com.
I just bought 2 of the 9" Coleman fans on ebay for under $20 including shipping for both. Thanks for the advise. I've been to every B-roo and the heat and lack of sleep is the only negative. I CANNOT sleep in the heat but love the night shows. The other, smaller fans have not worked. Hopefully these will.
